strongberry shorts coming for my heart

it's another cute little love story by strongberry so ofc it's wonderful.

i always love these little shorts strongberry make. i love watching them they make me so happy. this little short story makes me want to fall in love with someone. i just wish it was longer but i will await for the release of a full length drama or film, and i'll give it all my money lol.

i want the leads to do a full series together like seriously. i think exploring/continuing the storyline with them would be really awesome. they seem to have that sweet awkward chemistry of people who have fallen in love for the first time.

the music choices were really great. whoever chose the music, you're awesome.

i would rewatch it over and over. it's short and sweet, it's an adorable thing that instantly lifts your mood.

Short and sweet

Well saying a short film is short seems a bit like stating the obvious but I still seem to do that a lot... oh well... This was nothing special but it does the job of giving you just a little dose of sweetness, easy to watch, easy to find light gay representation. The acting could be better and the music was rather annoying but the cinematography made up for it.

The story itself teaches us the pros and cons of trying to write out ones wishes online as well as to be carful what we say...

They also teach us that smoking is... sexy but can be bad for you in ways you never thought of...

At the end of the day these were pretty ok spent 8,5 minutes or so...

GOOD BUT TOO F* SHORT

Another waste of talent. Too good to be this short, I know this could've been a lot better if only it had a longer duration. Even in that short period of time, this drama could deliver how the Barista's feeling developed towards the "special customer". I personally love this kind of story about when social media life meets real life, it's kind of making me nervous in a good way. The minus is I still could felt an awkwardness in one particular scene which was the "smoking scene". It looked so unnatural when the Barista suddenly joined the "special customer" who smoked outside, and especially the "cigarette scene"! WHO ON EARTH DOING THAT TO A RANDOM PERSON FOR GOD'S SAKE. If only this movie was a bit longer maybe they would tell us the reason behind how the "cigarette scene" could happen. Speaking of their acting skills, I'd say it's just good, I still sense an awkwardness but just a bit, and their chemistry are still there. Am I going to rewatch this? Definitely yes.

Adorable little film

As always, these are just my thoughts and opinions and not intended to offend :) (lets be honest, this is just me rambling)

This was another adorable little short from Strongberry - they really do knock it out of the park with the fluff and the sweetness. These little movies are the perfect wee pick-me-ups if you're ever feeling down.

I often find that confessions on BLs can be over the top or overdramatic, but this was cute and neat. The main stars worked well together and are yet another Strongberry pair I'd love to see in a longer work.

Adorable And High Quality.

8 min 30sec short film. General spoilers only. Relatable because it perfectly captures a growing crush, nervously feeling things out, and awkwardly/cutely confessing. Naturalistic acting and good chemistry. A satisfying ending and I would easily watch more of this story or these two actors together. There's not much to it but it's well done and thoroughly enjoyable.

The production value is really high for such a short work. The cinematography is purposeful, as are the music choices, and both visual and audio editing.

On Strongberry YouTube channel. I have to say they are very consistent with great quality content!

Beautifully Relatable!!

Reminds me of my own life in so many ways!!
I met my first love via an app and we talked a lot before meeting.
Also that cigarette "kiss" reminds me of my friends back home. My friend and her boyfriend did the "kiss" all the time.
Anyways, I'll stop being nostalgic and get on to the review.

STORY:

A young barista takes a liking to one of his customers. He updates his online friend of his ideal type, while thinking of his customer. One day the customer comes in and the barista decides to take a chance. The customer goes out to take a smoke break and the barista follows. They talk for a bit before the customer leaves. Later when the barista finishes his shift he goes outside to find the customer waiting. They chat before the customer offers to take the barista home. On the way home he receives a message from his friend asking him to update his ideal type. The barista messages his friend that he and his ideal type are hanging out now. The customer turns to him and asks "Me?" before showing him their chat conversation.

This is a short, but beautiful story of love. From the "dating app" (or online friend. IDK what is the right term for this) to nervousness, it's very realistic and relatable. Even the "why didn't you tell me you were him," was realistic. It's literally like taking a peak into the life of another person.

Personally I wanted to see more. While it ended nicely, I thought it was too short. We only got the barista's side of the story, so I wanted to get bigger peak at the customer's side. We get the hint that he likes the barista, but we don't know what the customer was doing to feed his crush. In the short, when we see the flashes of the barista crushing on the customer via messages, I would have liked to see the customer's response back with flashes of the barista. Instead he just is there as eye candy until the end when we find out he is the person on the other end of the messages. If they wanted that to be a surprise, I feel like there should be another way to do it, but I could just be projecting because I want more info.

The cigarette "kiss" was unique and I love it. It was sexy to watch. I don't really see much of this on screen or in real life, but as I said earlier, my friends did this so it was nostalgic to me. I could just imagine his heart beating like crazy as his crush did this to him.

Lastly, yet most importantly, the confession. "Why didn't you tell me?" This is the question we often ask. It's hard to confess in general, but when you know that the person you're messaging has a crush on you yet doesn't know it's you... I can imagine the conflicting feelings. People will either take it two ways, one, I'm so embarrassed I couldn't figure out it was you. Or two, you betrayed me by not telling me. I'm glad the barista went with the first reaction. However, "Why didn't you tell me?" is such an important question and the title of this film is Please Tell Me So, so I wish they would have talked about it more. There is an implication that the barista may have spilled some embarrassing secrets, and also they both seemed to have a crush on each other for a while, so it would be great to see them discuss it more. I felt like they played the "first love" card to sweep everything away nicely to finish up the film quickly. It was a cheap way out, but I guess it works to wrap up the film in a kiss.

OVERALL:

This film is beautiful and realistic. Also very nostalgic for me. This is the first time a film has ever made me recall moments in my life. I really enjoyed the film because of it. While the ending was wrapped up a bit too quickly for my liking, the cards were played right, so no complaints there. I can't wait to see another film from Strongberry soon.

A simple but nice Korean short didn't steal my time because it's funny, short and telling. Only, probably unlike other viewers, the "old" music from Europe had a slightly disturbing effect on me in the relationship between two young men from a Far Eastern country.

Strongberry needs more support from us.

Strongberry have consistently been providing us with excellent stories from a wide variety of people within the LGBT community and yet they are still not given proper funding. Imagine what Strongberry could do with more funding?

This was short but oh, so sweet. There was the inherent awkwardness of trying to ascertain if someone is interested in you, the careful conversation of whether or not this is a relationship and seeing this play out was beautiful. Watching the two conversations happening simultaneously shows both sides of the protagonist's personality; the shy barista who has a crush on a customer, and the braver version of him who is talking about his crush to someone online. I love the dichotomy.

I think everyone should watch this. It's short and easy to consume. The only downside is that it will leave you wanting more.

Love arises

It is a short story like a short story with a fresh relaxed visual development of natural colors and that presents us with the connection between two people who meet in a bar and previously on a dating application. Also we are in Korea where this is not very easy or naturally considered.

The connection occurs and flows naturally and this is an important fact and a breath of fresh air from so much Drama of the LGTBI community.

That if it is a short story and as such there is this brief sketch with touches of nostalgia.
