I had my inhibitions against this from the very beginning: a body swap story with a title as cringey as that? But this “Cupid's Last Wish” managed to surprise me quite a bit!

It's exactly what it says on the tin: siblings, Win and Lin get into an accident and they come out with more than just a few bruises–their souls get exchanged! Win wakes up only to find himself in his sister’s body, who herself is still comatose. As advised by the Venerable Uncle, he goes on a journey to collect holy water and is unwillingly paired up with Korn, his childhood friend. Why unwillingly? Because Win’s father somehow left as many shares as he did for his own son, for Korn too. Seem suspicious? It is.

And there's a deadline! Racing against time, Win and Korn run all over Thailand. They encounter many problems: the obnoxious uncle and aunt, headless ghosts, their cow Katin getting a bloated stomach, ghost lights, Lin getting her period (and Win just can't deal lol), floating ghosts, weed-induced hallucinations... but nothing as difficult as them having to tolerate each other.

Viewers are divided into two clear factions with Win’s behaviour-while some call him out for his childishness, others find it adorable. I simply found it understandable. Ever since his father died, Win has been the banyan of the Warodom farm and his family. He is just as hardy as any of the workers on the farm and doesn't mind getting his hands dirty. He's even capable of stabbing a cow's bloated rumen! But when he's with Korn it's like this whole other side of Win come out, a side which want to be cared for.

These ten episodes haven't been a "growth of their relationship." It was more about Win and Korn grappling with these feelings they've had for each other for so fucking long. Every time Korn hugs Win’s sister, and when he misleads Win regarding his true feelings, it worsens Win’s uncertainty. His father leaving the shares to Korn are the last straw as Win is left to wonder whether just as his romantic feelings are (seemingly) unrequited, has their friendship been false too all this time?

But true love always perseveres (no matter how ridiculously stupid your mother might behave!) and they do get their well-deserved happy ending. “Cupid's Last Wish” is what I call a feel-good watch. There are no real issues here, no real problems to deal with. It's pretty much like atots, a sense of community and well-being and overall warmth but it's all very superficial. I never managed to fully get into any of these shows.

The few "plot twists" here were quite overdone and out of place. Turns out there's a reason why Korn got those shares and it's so damn weirdly done.

The only thing quite clever about this drama is the body swap. With creative use of camera angles, this drama makes good use of the trope. I liked how there was this consciousness in the characters that they had to be responsible for their actions even in the body of others. While this did admittedly lead to a fresh bout of confusions and the expected drama in the penultimate episode, it was necessary to address it.

My primary issue with this is the very end. Didn't really get the feeling that they were beyond the we’re friends thing. The final scene in the car was so awkward with the head kisses.

Earth’s acting was a little less awkward than usual but Mix was a little more awkward than usual? The best however was Janhae as WinLin. As Lin, Janhae played Lin, a really cutesy character which is set as a far contrast to that of Win. As Win she throws her limbs about and perfectly captures the rowdy lanky charm of Mix.

Overally it was an enjoyable watch for anyone looking for an easy watch. 7.5/10

BEST SLOWBURN BL SERIES!!

I never thought I would love Earth. I don’t know how to say this but I just love him so much! His acting definitely gets better by the time and he is so good at playing Korn. Like he is so gentle yet he could flipped when being push. Can I just say I love how he tries to calm Win down? The fact that he is acting like water and Win is like fire is absolute love plot!! The plot is so good! I never thought I can watch series without that much kiss scene or the series being 18+ but THIS! This just change my pov. There’s not much going on but the way the actors plays their role and the movement of the plot is amazing!

I just found out that Earth and Mix was in 1000 stars so that's why their chemistry is just amazing! Like damn amazing! In the last episode when they finally tease each other when they have become a couple, it feels honest. It feels genuine like I could feel like they have feelings with each other ( in the series I mean ) and the fact that Earth was laughing from the bottom of his heart is so cute! The kiss that they shared honestly is kind of hot but at the same time so passionate. Please I need more series from them cause this is so cute ❤️❤️❤️❤️

The cinematography is alright but at first I was being skeptical cause there’s this scene where the cow give birth and the fact that the calf does have fur makes me laugh lol but other than that, it’s all good! Overall, i definitely love watching this and I might re-watch them. 10/10 for me! ❤️

A Bit Boring With A Few Good Scenes

I am not a fan of this series - it was just ok. Not worth a high score or a really low score.

I am not a fan of body swapping, and I didn't feel two differently about this one. Who looks at the sister's body/face etc. with the same love on their face they would have for their true love?

Why is the main bl lead such a total jackass; acting like a spoiled kid who doesn't get his own way?
What kind of mother makes their children suffer because they are selfish?

I could go on, but honestly there were too many characters in this story who were either selfish, spoilt, or just plain annoying for the story to be truly good. There did not seem to be any real chemistry in this series and the few kisses were short and not done in an emotional way to feel sincere.
Honestly, most of the series is just plain boring, with a lot of repetition. No rewatch value for me.

It's not what you are told it's wonderful

Many people didn't like this Bl series at the beginning but if you stick to it you will fall in love with it. The intro music 🎶 describes the series perfectly. It's all about love missed with light-heartedness and family drama and a little bit of romance. If you are looking for a Bl series with an exceptional plot you have found Cupid's last wish! It's beautiful, well written and Earth and Mix delivered as usual in their acting. Cupid's last wish will take you on a journey that you will never want to end and it's end will surprise you !

A fun show if you're mostly interested in seeing Earth and Mix

Cupid’s Last Wish was never a masterpiece. But the series had it’s moments. It’s undeniable that the chemistry between Earth and Mix is outstanding, and the series gives them a lot of moments to explore that. I'm sorry if this review ended up being a bit of a rant towards the end.

For those that were unhappy with the single kiss at the end of Tale of Thousand Stars, CLW delivers a lot more on that front. It also gives, in my opinion, very true EarthMix type of interactions, specially if you watch their show EMS, on Youtube. The content fighting and bickering is peak EarthMix behavior we see outside of the cameras. I also think that the casting of Mix and Jan as siblings was perfection. They look alike and Jan was great in the scenes where she had to behave as Win. Unfortunately, we didn’t see much of Mix playing Lin. But, at least, we got A LOT of moments of Mix playing sassy and bossy Win.

The journey to get the water across the country was nice. I think the show managed the use it well as a way of explaining the relationship between Win and Korn. It was also fun to watch very different locations, from forests to the beach.

My main issue with Cupid’s Last Wish is the “final twist” with the mom and, overall, the last episode as a whole. The mom is by far the worst character in the entire show. By the end of last episode I’m pretty sure she managed to get a spot int he worst BL moms list. She embodies a very rare combination of worst characteristics a character can have. She is: dumb, annoying, old-fashioned, homophobic and get’s in the way of the main couple. All of that while barely being on screen.

Her plan also doesn’t make sense. She manipulated her very sick husband to give 1/4 of the farm to someone outside of the family, so it would breakup Win and Korn, and allow her to marry Korn and Lin, so the family would control the farm again. To make it even worse, she kept the plan going even after BOTH OF HER CHILDREN ALMOST DIED BECAUSE OF THAT PLAN! In my opinion, that means she was more worried with the couple being together than with her family controlling the farm. The icing on the cake is that she tells everybody what she did, and they just hug her like it’s not a big deal! Did they not hear the part where she took advantage of her dying husband or the fact that the farm was loosing money because Win was a mess after his fight with Korn? Or how that fight, which was part of her plan, almost killed her children?

Since all that reveal and development happened at the start of the episode, I couldn’t really get on board with the rest, Yeah, using the farm as a touristic attraction is a nice idea. Sure, I like that Lin and Non are together. I’m obviously happy that Win and Korn are together. But it’s all overshadowed by the mom. Also, cowboy Win and Korn arriving on their horses to greet the tourists was very cheesy.

Forget about the body swap and just enjoy!!!! That’s still Win with Korn!!!

Mix getting his period was hilarious. I don’t know why people hate this, actually I do it’s because it was still Lin who Korn was talking to and looking at the whole time, I was very bugged by that! I wished it was Win whom Korn kissed and hugged, but once you ignore that big factor you just enjoy it!! like just forget it because that’s still Win not Lin they just switched bodies! The mother was so selfish for doing that to them I do not forgo her!!! you all may have but I feel so bad! the way she wanted to marry off Lin and Korn when she knew her freaking son loved Korn and even urged them to split up and hate each other!!! that mother was asking for a slap!! yeah I said it, fight me! Anyways I loved it, I enjoyed Sassy Mix on his period so much that I wanted to hit Korn, like how dare he not feed hungry Win?? How dare he not feed our baby who is experiencing being on his period for the first time😂😂😂😂😂😂

Watch this of course to watch our 2 ML, Mix & Earth. As usual really like their chemistry.

Story about journey to overturn the karma & fixed relationship, between friends & family. For u who wonder, this one of the save one to watch. With no steamy scene, and only a little kiss scene in the end.

Sawin Warodom (Win) is like dynamite, he often get his emotion get the best of him. He constantly angry with anyone close to him and don't want to listen to anyone, include his mom & sister Lalin Warodom (Lin). Due to his relationship with his aunt & uncle, who he thought only want his family money, he becomes distrust to anyone outside his own family, that's mean his mom & Lin.

The problem with Thapakorn Chaiphitak (Korn) raise when Win's father left Korn part of their inheritance. Due to Korn very close to Win's dad in his last days, Win suspect Korn with insincere intentions toward his family money / business. So they have separated since that time.

Win & Korn met again when Lim & Win was in accident. Because of the accident, Win's soul move to Lin's body. The soul of Win's dad visit a monk & tell him how to undo the curse. How? To visit 4 temple and ask for holy / blessed water. And the instructions, Win / Lin has to go with Korn.

At first of course Win unwilling to do. But upon realizing what the monk said true, finally Win give in & decided to go with Korn. The journey bring them closer again & unravel all the hidden feeling in their heart.

But along the journey with Lin body, make Win also questioning, did Korn attention for him or Lin... And that days upon days make Win heart more and more unsettling with their relationship.

But don't worry all the questioning finally unraveled In the end. Their feeling for each other, the source of Win's anger & also the secret of Win's dad inheritance.

That's the brief explaination about this drama. Now part what I like & don't like about this drama.

What I like:
+ As usual the chemistry between Mix & Earth never missed. We can feel their feeling for each other from the very first ep
+ The journey. Win learn a lot from the journey. At the end he did learn how to control his emotion, how to let go his anger & also how to be truthful about his own feeling.
+ Win learn about woman body. Haha... I really wish the actor, Mix, can experience all the things woman have to endure when their on their period.

What I don't too like, or what i feel a little bit a miss:
- Win mad to Korn, but still he reveal himself to Korn. Haha... I mean when he wake up in the hospital, after Win did manage to drive away his mom, he reveal himself to Chanon (Non) & Korn. He not even try to chase Korn away & just blabbering about Win in Lin body. That's a little bit weird in my opinion. It's like u mad to someone but u still reveal one of most vulnerable thing about urself in front of that person.

Overall this quite good drama to watch.

Cupid, Please Wish It To Be Over

Watching the trailer, I thought I will get a balance of drama and romance with a good body-switching plot. However, the majority that I get is full of annoying childish tantrums from an immature character.

Mix plays Win, the unreasonable, childish, and full of animosity. The character literally annoys me throughout the drama. Earth plays Korn, though he is kind, but doesn’t have any balls to explain why he got the inheritance from Win’s father. If only they talked on the 3rd or 4th episode then this drama won’t be draggy as it is due to hot-cold treatment of Win to Korn throughout the show. Lin, Win’s sister is a breath of fresh air. She’s the very few likeable female character in a BL. My concern with her is she is powerless and helpless till the end. Despite that, I have to commend Janhae’s acting for delivering a dual role as Lin and Win.

Another part I’m distressed is that the Mother, Uncle, and Aunt didn’t get the karma they deserved. The Mom was forgiven easily despite the manipulation that she did of the will and forcing Lin and Korn with the engagement while gaslighting Win. This homophobic, plainly evil character deserve to get hit by a karma yet didn’t get it. Very disappointing. The Uncle and Aunt didn’t paid for their sins for the attempted murder, it wasn’t even revealed the horrible thing they did.

Cinematography of the drama is good. The locations where the series shot are exhilarating to the eyes. I wish hey cut some scenes where all they do is eat! One or two scenes of binge eating is enough, but almost every episode I get to see Win (or Lin) eat like a pig which makes me want to skip the scene due to repetitiveness. Music is okay but not exemplary.

There is no doubt that Earth and Mix are great actors, especially Mix. But this show is incomparable from their previous show 'A Tale Of A Thousand Stars'. The only area that this is better than 1000 Stars is that Earth eats Mix's face in the finale, which didn't happen in their previous drama.

You won’t enjoy this unless you are an Earth and Mix fan. I like both actors but the show, not that much. It has the potential but failed to get there.

It’s good but could’ve been better

This was a really good show that started off strong and had so much potential but it had some major issues that just held me back from giving it anything more than 7 stars.

Firstly I just didn't really like the plot that much. I mean I normally love body swap tropes, but this one was poorly made. Like they kissed when Win was still in Lin's body, I mean they used Mix to film that scene but still it just irked me quite a bit.

Second -mind you this is the biggest issue in my opinion- the mother! She couln't have been any more annoying. Like she created all that mess just to keep the both of them apart, but woman are you stupid? Korn has a quarter of the farm they will have to see one another eventually duh. And then she goes and makes her daughter marry him just so she can keep her son away from him. Like that entire engagement thing was just so unnecessary, and then the second they confess their love for each other she just goes and apologies for everything she's done. Really stupid.

And another issue, the uncle and the aunt, they were completely unnecessary. They did not add anything to the plot, we could've very well just omitted them without having any issues. Also i haaate Lin's personality, if there is such a thing that is. All she did was cry, beg her mom and brother to calm down, and smile every now and then. Also the relationship between Lin and Non was just so sudden, it was just so random, it literally spawned out of no where.

Also who the hell was the cupid, I'm clueless. Well other than that I liked it a lot. I loved both Earth's and Mix's characters, yes Win was a bit short tempered and acted like a child most of the time but I still loved them both.

Plot wise a tale of a thousand stars was much better, but honestly I hated earth in there and I also thought that earthmix had absolutely no chemistry what so ever, but after watching this one I get the hype! now I ship them too😭

Well all in all this show had so much potential but all those little mistakes took it down, but Earthmix and Jan carried the entire thing with their beautiful acting and great chemistry (Jan not included in that) well yeah but I can say that I really liked it.

I know that I was being a jerk of this series lol

I watched first episode on the first week of April but I just finished today lol. The story of this series made me bored at first, I was even thinking about dropping this series, then I got nothing to watch so I decided to resumed this show, there were 6 episodes left at that time (I know, its a lot, lol). Swap-bodies is actually one of the "common" genres in bl drama, that's why the first 3 episodes made me decide to take a break for a moment (actually 3 months lol).

Another reason is, I'm not a MixEarth's fan. lol
Those two handsome actors are the combination that I am least waiting for (after OffGun lol). However, I have to admit that after watching several Earth series, his appearance in this series is my most favorite one. Contrary to 1000 stars, I don't really like Mix's performance here. There are many scenes that I think he pretty seems redundant, even for people who don't like Earth, his appearance on this series really helps their chemistry.

The reason why I was able to finish this series (finally), is because the last three episodes were really something that I've never expected. I had a thought about the family's conflict that disappeared in episodes 8 and 9, and turns out that they save "the conflict" at the finale.

And yes, thank you for those who have given positive (but not excessive) reviews for this series, which has influenced me (a lot) to give this series a chance.
