Recommended to watch

Every bl series that I finish is a recommendation for many people to watch because I'm a kind of person that doesn't really like any series easily because many are not very good. I would say this series not my favorite but its recommend for who never watch it. I like the chemistry between these two main leads, this series are their first stepped to a main role lead. Next is on the acting/cast, which as I had said that they were new to acting main roles but they did a great job to really make us feel their emotion. Next is music, I like all the musics in this series, they really go into the tone and I like that both of the main cast sing it. Next is the story, overall it kind of good but not really what I really like, me personally I don't like series that people are just too in love and would kissed this many times, I just felt like its too sweet and it's too much. But others are great, it has an interesting plot. Overall is good to watch, recommended to someone to never watch it to try it.

We love a healthy couple.

I have a lot to say, OMG.

Vice Versa has a very complicated plot, because of the storyline and many things happening, at first it's really hard to understand things, but that's not a real problem since even the characters were lost, so I am...

Fantasy it's not really easy to write, with a multiverse, it's more complicated. But I really like the way that this was organized because JittiRain and the screenwriters did a very good job. When I saw that it's the same screenwriting team from Bad Buddy, A Tale of Thousand Stars, and MSP... Makes sense! Their job is amazing. The fantasy part it's was well constructed. But what amazed me was the relationship construction.

About PuenTalay, because doesn't have stronger time indicators, you don't see the time passing in the series, until the characters mention it. And when you realize the time: They are a very slow-burn couple. But it's amazing because their relationship is very well developed. It's beautiful.

Their action was good! I think Sea (Talay) impressed me more than Jimmy (Puen), but they both did a good job! Their chemistry it's insane too, damn. And their kisses: they served.

The details were excellent too, the episodes with the color's names and everything on the episode based on the color were amazing and very smart. Cute, too.

Everything is good, and I will not go on a lower note bcs the series it's well done. But, it didn't amaze me SO MUCH. I really liked it, but I didn't LOVE it. Idk exactly why. My only little problem was with the open little details in the end, it's on purpose, but I personally don't like open things. But it's not a big deal.

disappointed

I had been hesitating for a while as to weather I should or should not start this series... and I guess I was correct to hesitate
because this show was just so... boring.

First of all...I was hoping that we would get more interesting differences from the universes, they had such great opportunities to make it more interesting but it just fell flat... the differences of the universes were just so little and so... meaningless?? Like the counting, the birthday cake being cotton candy and beer being more expensive than wine. They also missed such a great opportunity to make Up's name in the other universe Down... cmon that would have been much better than Tup(at least in my opinion).

I had also hoped that we would get to see Ohm and Nanon a lot more that we actually did...
And that there would be a bigger focus on Tun and Tess... like... what were they doing for two whole years?! How would Tun who had never acted before be as good as Puen?! Just so disappointing to see. And how come Tun's and Tess friends and family who had known them their whole lives wouldn't question them acting COMPLETELY different than before??

I found myself so bored when watching the series and the endless ads did not help. Like 70% of the show is just ads.

This series is just a huge wasted potential and a very forgettable one at that. I feel like this show is more targeted towards straight cis women with their 'man' and 'woman' stereotypes.

Beautiful Romance Story

This was a great show. JimmySea are excellent actors and did a wonderful job playing there part. The show started of slow but got better throughout the episodes. I was surprised on how many famous Thai actors were in the show. I start screaming when I saw Gun and Perth lol. i I am need to watch BL shows but they have excellent chemistry between them. The show is worth watching. and I might rematch the show. There excellent actors shows in their new show Last Twilight. I am in love with that show.

Holy Product Placements Batman!

With a show that was literally all about product placements, it felt like the directors falsely advertised the series with the trailers. It took everything I had for me to finish this series in it's entirety.

The plot in theory sounds great, as it's one of the few fantasy BLs that takes the two main characters , Talay and Puen and transports them to a parallel universe and into the bodies of Tess and Tun and....vice versa. The series then follows Talay and Puen through the trials and the tribulations that they experience in their new lives in this new universe and they team up and try to figure out how to get back to their own world. Sounds pretty interesting, right? WRONG! The series completely loses sight of this concept and plot, and instead what we get is this long, jumbled mess of a series filled with BLATANT product placements....and I mean blatant. They don't event try to be subtle about it. I am okay with product placements if it helps drive the story, but there was literally no point in dedicating 85% of the series to product placements.

The production quality of the show was great and there really were some stunning visuals, which leads me to believe it was a result of the money the director received from all of the product placements.?

I really wanted to like this series because I throughly enjoyed Bad Buddy, and the chemistry between Nanon and Ohm. When I found out they were going to be in this series and that I was going to get a chance to see that chemistry again, I definitely signed on to watch this....I was quickly disappointed to find out that they are literally on the show for like 5 seconds, and Jimmy and Sea's chemistry doesn't even compare and felt down right awkward at times. I am honestly not sure if it was the lack of chemistry or the writing that made it so hard to believe that these two individuals were in love. I believed that they cared deeply for each other and that they may even have had a bromance but I wasn't even slightly convinced they were more than friends until episode 11.

Honestly, the show started out pretty entertaining and funny, but quickly went downhill from there and completely derived from the plot. They should consider remaking this like the did with Love Mechanics because it has so much potential. The show does however, make for a good drinking game. ?? Every time there's a product placement, take a shot!

Surprisingly warm and beautiful pink

Did You cried big tears with Ae in "Love by chance 2"? Did You suffer from seeing the Mains in "Lovely writer" beeing apart ? Was it hurtful to watch "Miracle of the teddy bear"?

Vice Versa is the medicine.
It's heartwarming and soothing.

I started to watch this with the expectation of an interesting SciFi plot. But this is just the frame for the really beautiful love story. One doesn't have faith in love, the other one tries to win his heart over. It's a sweet (sometimes literally), comfy and vanilla series. Easy to watch for beginners.

The series tells the story of two guys, which changed the universe because of their deaths. And their 2 years of longing and searching for a way back home. But it was never a painful waiting. They live the life of the guys in which bodies they transferred to the fullest to not disappoint the owners or ruin their careers.

I personally had to mention, Sea isn't my type of men, but his calm and wise aura and his beautiful smile, melted my heart. And Neo, the funniest character in so much series, plays another wonderful warmly and clearly funny character.

I also liked the cameos of other GMMTV Boys. That was always a little joy of reunion.

So, just give it a try =O)

You can find love in another universe!

Finished watching this drama and enjoyed it alot. Sometime some things are not meant for everyone, there will be people who enjoyed the concept and accept it, while some want to be non existence writers that only watch dramas to write about it in a negative way because the story did not go their way. You can't re-write what is already set in stone. It's intentional what the writer wanted to give the bl fans. I love this concept and the great story telling. This drama was a good production value, and the acting was on point. Happy for Jimmy & Sea, their characters found love in another universe! that is why it is Vice Versa.

12 Vanilla episodes of adverts *pass the snacks*

I am so sad to say this was ruined by poor casting or directing (?) And don't get me started on the incessant advertisements, that, in my opinion, ruined what could have been romantic scenes. I mean, he proposed with a crisp snack!!! Seriously, WTF is that about ?!? But then again that just about sums up how UN-romantic and advert driven this whole show was.

There really wasn't any chemistry between the leads at all. More like a bromance than BL, and even "bromance" is stretching it. They both just seemed really uncomfortable with each other and the whole thing.

As for the settings and cinematography, they were amazing, and I loved the way the Colourist set the tone for each scene, to emphasise Talays job . That was very educational and I will look out for this in my future viewing.
....BB ;~)

This is a new favourite!!

I honestly didn't expect to like this drama so much. I had not seen many spoilers and my TikTok was not really buzzing when it aired, so I was expecting something average. Boy was I wrong. I LOVE THE HELL OUT OF IT.

The mildly scifi theme, multiverse, is just the basis for the epic love story of Puen, a rising actor and Talay, a movie colorist. They make a switch upon there untimely death, and find themselves in the body of another person in a similar but different universe. While navigating their way in the life of the person who's body they now occupy, they meet and discover they're in the same boat. Deciding to be friends and trying to find a way back to their own universe they gradually fall for each other.

The way the falling in love and the shift from friends to lovers is brought forward is award-worthy. The first actual kiss doesn't happen until ep. 8, but the anticipation and build up to the kiss and later the confession(s) is on butterfly level 3000! This is all done is such a non-explicit way, it is just beautiful. There is NO verbal sexual innuendo, but the tension is there and then some. The non-verbal is extremely well executed.

Once the first kiss, and especially the confession and discovery that they actually are each-others way home has happened, more and more kisses follow. But not the let's stare at each other and act like fishes kind of kisses. Real, deep and lovers' kisses these are.

When they finally return home, new troubles ensue due to their live having been taken over by someone else. They need to fix what was messed up and find each other again in more than one way.

What I loved: almost everything. The acting, the story development, the original theme, the fantastic side characters, the cameo's (Tay! Mix!), the music, the scenery, even the product placement was weaved into the actual story, so it wasn't too distracting or annoying.
What i disliked: Some scenes seemed to be cut off at an illogical point. But that's just me nitpicking :P.

I would love to see the story of Tess and Pakorn (Tun) on the other side/in the other universe. We got a glimpse of the meek Pakorn and the asshole Tess, but there's more to this story. Maybe we will get to see Ohm and Nanon in a spin off drama. For now, this one shoots to the top 5 of my 2022 winners. I you have not watched it: do it NOW!

i recommendthis series

This is one of the shows where it can be very subjective for me personally i loved it a lot really! It was heartwarming and overall just gave me so much joy. I love Talay and Puen’s love and it was just a lovely journey to watch them fall for each other more and more. Definitely will rewatch this when i want to watch something sweet. The acting i thought was good and the story was a nice sci-fi story with not much angst which i love. The ads maybe were excessive but it didn’t really bother me. Overall definitely enjoyed it! If you’re a fan of sweetness I recommend this a lot.

They proved u don't need a lot of skinship in a BL series to nail it!

Well...first I kept asking myself, just after I finished this one, why took me so long to watch it. Then I realized that it was good I did that, bcs I was going to be insane if I had to wait for an episode per week!!

That's how f*cking good this series is.

The plot is knew in the BL world and its very well written and the pace is good as well. The acting is on point (despite some cringe dialogs....omg, a lot of cringeness!).

Their chemistry is good, u have the shy one and the sassy one, and sometimes they change places giving the couple a lot of credibility. The way their relationship grows is beautiful and I loved all the Easter eggs from the multiverse!!! it was a great idea!!

So it's a 10 out of 10 to me and the credits song will be on repeat at my Spotify for a long time!

I strongly recommend it!!

NARAKNESS OVERLOAD!

I’m writing this after having watched only 4 episodes. There are 8 more I have on my way, but for now I can say that I’M FULLY, ABSOLUTELY, TOTALLY, COMPLETELY IN LOVE. CUTENESS OVERLOAD. The plot is something fresh and new among other Thai dramas and I like it.

Will you please excuse me if I get distracted from the plot for a minute and talk about Jimmy? I don’t usually express my feeling for actors, but I can’t help it. I have been head over heels for Jimmy since I first saw him in Bad Buddy. JIMMY IS HANDSOME, STUNNING, INVINCIBLE and yeah, Sea got that right: He is so cute and tiny when he pouts. AND THOSE MOTHERFUCKING EYES. I can’t help staring at him.

THE CHEMISTRY IS CHEMISTRYING! I CANT BELIEVE I FINALLY BUMPED INTO REAL CHEMISTRY! Last time I felt it in “My school president” and now I’m getting the same vibes. This drama is about to become my comfort zone. I absolutely like the references here. When Phuwadol said the password “I will kiss you till you drop” I started screeming like crazy! And so-called “copyright infringement” “You don’t have to like me very much, just keep you heart open for me”. THOSE REFERENCES WARM MY HEART EVERY TIME. The moment when Tun gave the inhaler to Talay I remembered Pat and Pran fighting over it. The fact that Puen’s vessel is Nanon’s body (who is Pran) makes it even more touching.
The fact that I’m watching this when OhmNanon (aka one of the most iconic couples) is gone makes those references heartwarming and painful for me at the same time. Once Talay asked Tun “are you competing me again?” THAT GOT ME CRYING AF.

Update after watching 4 more episodes: I have seen some reviews about this whole “alternative universes’’ stuff, and want to talk about it. I don’t find it messy. Puen and Talay met In their universe and obviously there had been chemistry between them since the beginning. Doesn’t matter how apparent and predictable was their meeting In the second universe, it still has its meaning. You will find your soulmate even after travelling to another universe. Besides, we can see that both Talay and Puen have never experienced love and they got the opportunity to do it In another universe. And yeah, people who say “how is that even possible to get back, total nonsense”…Hilarious. Have you ever questioned yourself how Loki was able to teleport to Earth through the tessaract without the possession of it? FANTASY. THAT’S IT.

Elements of fantasy are really interesting for me. Whether you like it or not depends on your interpretation of everything said and done by the characters. This drama teaches us 2 important things: 1. You don’t always need to have mutual interests to match with each other. 2. Faces don’t matter when you are in love with a person’s soul.

One more thing that really got me is the development of their feelings. It is not boring, their conversations and interaction are always relevant. PICK UP LINES ARE SO CUTE. I still cant get over “carbo-naraaaaak”. THE KISS IN THE END OF THE 8TH EPISODE. I got shivers all over my body! ROMANTIC!
The plotline when Puen didn’t want to go back again was expectable.
Cuteness became suffocating when Talay told Tun that he was falling for him.
THE HAT WITH ALPACA ON IT. I used to think that Puen would somehow find out that Talay was the guy he acted with (every time they stood close to each other I thought that Talay would start laughing, because “it tickles”). As long as it didn’t happen I couldn’t think of anything else BUT THE HAT. THE MOMENT WHEN PUEN REALISED THAT HE HAD ALREADY KNOWN TALAY IN THEIR UNIVERSE AND PUT THE HAT ON WRONG DELBERATELY. “Is this a llama?” That’s the question he asked when they first met.

Acting in this show is magnificent! EVERY PART OF JIMMY’S FACE IS THE INCARNATION OF HIS FEELINGS! And have you ever paid attention to Talays yearning eyes after kissing Puen? Hail Mary…

The plot got a little bit messy in the 11th episode. It took me long to suss out what had happened. I don’t think I comprehended it precisely…Did Puen went to their universe first, because Pakorn had a near-death experience while Puen was dreaming? I don’t know..

BUT HELL, WHEN TALAY REVEALED PUEN’S WISH: “That day, in the glass house, I fell head over heals in love with you”. THAT GOT ME SQUEALING.
I knew, that an irresponsible person like Tess would fuck up Talays life. He is lucky to get his job back.

I have to admit that there were plot holes but now I’m replete with emotions, for which I’m thankful. This drama is another safe zone for me. Narakness overload! It is easy to watch, although you can get bored during the last two episodes, because the dream is gone and the characters have to face the reality. But it is still sweet and wholesome!
My mind is brimful of quotes from this drama and the last one I want to mention is “Ever since I saw you singing in Pong’s bar, I have been head over heals for you”.
Shia, those guys captured my heart and wiped the dust off it. Thank you! 9.5/10
