Both stories confront the concept of childhood innocence and the psychology behind acts of cruelty committed by children.

Both films have a similar context but different reasons for killing. In Confessions the teacher performs acts of revenge towards students as she suspects that some may have killed her daughter. Whilst in Lessons of Evil, he kills students for his own sake.

While watching Office (2015) it sort of reminded me of the breathtaking "Confessions" because the cinematography of the two films are quite similar in nature though the plots are absolutely different. If you are into thrillers, this movie is the right one for you to try next.

Because both were written by the same producer. And also both are epic thriller mystery movies.

Middle school students & their dark secrets. If you like this kind of theme then you might like Ao no SP as well.

Both dramas tematalize the revenge in very sophistically way. They ask about, why people murder other persons.

They're both a collection of stories that are both fantastical and chilling. Neither are exactly horror, but both are horrifying. They're great for a lover of psychological horror. The stories are connected in Confessions, but that's a minor difference. The feel and setting of both films is similar.

Both have the same writer (novel writer) and just that fact was enough for me to watch N no Tame ni and I won't regre it, one of the best japanese dramas that I have ever seen
