Holy shitttt

So much fun!! Absolutely terrifying but also very cute! Fantastic twists, foreshadowed perfectly to the point where you can figure out that something is wrong but not quite what. My only issue is the way that certain plots were resolved felt rushed and unrealistic. Gagged and gooped. Tw abuse, self harm

More in the future please!

📍Characters:

Daon is a character you get to know very little about.
Sungyeon is a cute lead, but he's too perfect to feel real, which takes away from his impact.
Jaemin was an okay villain, but again, you don't get to know much about him. He felt too one-dimensional.
Soo Hyun was the most interesting character out of all of them and had the best entrance, in my opinion. The actor really stood out.
The chemistry between Soo Hyun and Daon was stronger, but I still loved that the main leads ended up becoming a healthy couple.

📍Story:

There was no real character development for the lead characters, and their one-dimensional approach made it hard to care about them. Only Soo Hyun seemed to go through some change, I think.
I really liked the pacing of this drama and how they revealed new information at the end of each episode, it made it fun to watch.
The script and dialogue were simple but effective. They did the best with the limited time they had, though it definitely could have been better.

The ending was sweet, but I cringed so hard when they revealed that the leads had known each other since they were teenagers. I absolutely hate that trope and think it should never be used again!

📍Production:

There were no memorable OSTs or BGMs.
The cinematography was good.
The casting was okay overall. Especially Kim Jun Seo, who played Daon, did not deliver a strong performance in my opinion. Cha Jung Woo, who played Soo Hyun, was definitely the highlight.

✨️Final thoughts:

I loved to see a BL Kdrama with more than one lead. I hope we will get more in the future ❤️

An emotional ride

This series is a true emotional rollercoaster — intense, addictive, and brilliantly acted.
The toxic relationships and twisted dynamics kept me hooked from the very first episode to the last.
Each scene is charged with tension, showing how fragile and dangerous human connections can become.
The actors deliver powerful, authentic performances that make even the most uncomfortable moments fascinating to watch.
Most of the time I was left speechless in the best way.
A bold, gritty, and unforgettable experience that lingers long after the final episode.
Make sure to watch this masterpiece.
You won't regret it.

Trust No One In his BL Drama

There are so many plot twists with characters changing from bad to good & back again, you just need to watch it completely out before you know who you're rooting for in this excellent BL Drama.
Jun Seo is amazing in his role, along side of Sun Hyung. Both are a great fix together.
All the actors in this are great throughout.
I found that once I started watching it, it was really difficult not to binge episode after episode. Each one ended, where you just wanted more. Your heart aches Jung Da On with so much torment in his life. This is really way beyond a normal BL series, but rather a mix of a strong drama along with a few thriller moments as well.
Very enjoyable with lots of excitement.

The Stars Have Spoken, Falling All Around Us

This drama was such a rush!! And so brilliant! The actors really made this a work of art! There’s your average run-of-the-mill dramas, then there’s THIS, and I was not disappointed! This drama had cohesion and consistency in this well-composed story of love, betrayal, and manipulation.

This drama focuses on Da-On, who works for the Strategy Dept of a large company in Korea. For the past 11 years, he’s held long-time romantic feelings for Jaemin, who’s been his friend and colleague since their days in University. He’s made multiple attempts to profess his feelings to Jaemin, much to no avail for the fear of rejection outweighs the urge to come clean with his desire to be with him.

Seong Hyeon is a new colleague that just joined Da On’s dept. Hyeon has just arrived the scene, and he is already very curious about who Da On really is. Even though he’s in the dark at the start, he starts developing a special interest in Da On, wondering what makes him tick, and doing his own homework on his new favorite subject…

Su Hyeon has known Da On for 7 years, and has been weaving himself in and out of Da On’s life over the years with his volatile and demanding attitude. But behind all that anger, he’s been hiding a secret that no one else knows about…

Throughout the series, it tells a vivid narrative of how the most unsuspecting individuals have the most to hide, and how easy one can be moved like a pawn with just the right twisted strategies. Friends are not always who they pretend to be, but you’re in so deep with them already, they’re like a snake ready to devour you.🐍

This drama was so immersive in the way these characters interact and flow with each other. The chemistry amongst these characters is so palpable its static that’s felt though the screen. The acting was so strong, it was inspiring and made this series that much more elevated. Also, i love the music in this series, greatly contributed to the drama.🎵

This would be the 2nd time I’ve watched a drama and it felt like an exclusive event that only a select few get to experience(the first time was Tempted). Watching characters be possessive with each other has never been so enticing nor as delicious as this…💜

A quote from the series:-
Love isn’t about levels, it’s about heart. As long as we have unwavering trust, and offering sincerity to each other, that’s all that matters for love.

P.S. the ending reminds me of the premise for the manga Boys Abyss iykyk🥲

Finally a breather after a haul of mediocre KBL in 2024

I thought KBL already loose the grip of the genre long ago but fortunately, they got back up. Secret Relationships might not be your best choice for KBL but a decent runner-up on the higher tier. Solid acting, diverse character and not your typical romantic genre. Lead actors got me hooked & hopeful since the start.

This drama is amazing

The drama is so worth watching!! I was going into this kinda skeptical because majority of Korean BL lack a good story and don’t really have convincing acting. So this truly surprised me. No cringe plots or stiff acting. No useless scenes and straight to the point, i never got bored. The actors are amazing and execute their roles perfectly. The only thing is that i wish it would’ve been longer or we had more scenes of their college days. Other than that this drama is top tier. I can’t stop rewatching it!!

Extremely toxic, but so good!

Wow this was one of the most toxic bl drama's i have seen, but it was so good! The story was great, complicated and with several plot twists. And oh my, the actors who played those two psycho's did such an amazing job.
The visuals were amazing and the music very good!

The acting was top notch and the chemistry between the mains was great, so were the kisses.

This is a must watch! I will definatly watch this many more times in the future.

Chef’s kiss. Pure perfection. Would absolutely recommend!!

Hands down one of the best K-BLs or BL dramas in general—I’ve ever seen. And that’s saying a lot, because I’ve been watching BLs for over a decade now. I rarely give a perfect 10/10 rating; out of the 200+ dramas I’ve watched, only around 25 have earned that score from me fr.

I really loved the overall story and the acting. And oh my god, Ju Sung-hyeon’s smile? Weak at the knees—he’s so golden retriever coded, it hurts 😭💛. Meanwhile, I’ve been cursing Shin Jaemin the entire show—couldn’t stand him LOL.

But yeah, this drama? Chef’s kiss. Pure perfection. Would absolutely recommend!!

Intriguing/Fascinating Until the End...

This series has so much going for it. Acting is superb. Screenplay is surprisingly strong and sharp. The cinematography is captivating and succinct, given that this series is not very long. Yet, I had such mixed feelings about this series. Perhaps it was because it goes so deep into the despair and sickness of three-way love connections. With each knowing how the other felt about one another, the outcome was bound to lead to toxicity and bitterness and a heaping amount of resentment. I loved the story but found myself experiencing revulsion in some of its more disconcerting parts. One has to be intrigued, perhaps even mesmerized, by its premise, but at the same time perplexed by how sick, twisted, and convoluted a love can get. Especially when that love is not projected outwardly but only inwardly. I must have what I want at any cost no matter what I have to pay to get it. That is both sad and sick.

Unexpectedly Excellent!

I did not expect the level of holy sh*t I just watched. I waited for it to fully air before watching it and I'm am SO glad I did. It would have killed me to wait one week to the next. The story was well done, the acting excellent, and the kisses? Oh man. Despite the history of mediocre kisses in Korean BL, this one was wonderful!

High tension drama with crazy plot twists and delish acting

The tension in the story is tantalising, and the good looking cast pulls off a very convincing act.....but the best part of this show are the plot twists.

Bl-needle Score: 7. Moderate BL-ness

Da On is torn between three characters - Jae Min, his senior and a psycho and obsessed 'lover' who manipulates like hell to keep having power over him, Su Hyeon, a perpetually pissed ex who wants to use sheer force/power to get back together, and Seong Hyeon, a sane, strong, love interest who shows up when needed...no prizes for guessing who gets the guy....but the meandering path the drama takes is quite something, and so is the performance from the cast.

The story has crazy twists, usually revealed at the end of each episode, in the form of brief flashbacks of the lives of Da On, Su Hyeon and Jae Min....and almost every time that happens you will likely go...Whaaaaaaaat???????

I loved the tension all through the episodes, though from episode 6 onward it started to become slightly more predictable, though that does not really take away from the series too much. Ideally this could have been a 10 episode story with a gradual reveal and unraveling of the truth, which would have done justice to the intense build-up that was really the hook of this show.

Nevertheless, they did a neat, even if a tad rushed, wrap up to the story and give us our happy ending. So no major complains.

I would definitely want to see this caste get together again, they were really good and one of te main reasons that I watched this, other than the plot twists.
