They're both quite simple, more dreamy romances with a school setting or workplace setting that only focusses on the 2 characters. The characters themselves are quite similar and have a similar relationship dynamic, so Ameiro Paradox seemed like an aged-up version to me, like a workplace au.

A change in the stakeout team throws Onoe, reporter for a weekly magazine, together with his contemporary, Kaburagi, a photographer. Onoe secretly considers Kaburagi his rival, and Kaburagi's haphazard way of doing things goes against Onoe's strong sense of ethics. There's nothing but conflict between them. Onoe reminded me of Amagi. and by the end of it I thought candy paradox feels like if Takara and Amagi didn't go to the same high school....

Takara and Kiyoi are similar in the way that they hide their feelings away- and fully tell them when they feel as if their love will be taken from them (sorry that's a bit sad)

Both of these incredibly fluffy BL dramas center around one of the leads being a closet simp for the slightly crazy (and slightly dumb) energetic lead. They also feature hilarious imagination sequences, a super supportive best friend that steals the spotlight, and a high school setting.

Both are just cute highschool romance, no innecesary complications, just two highschool boys learning about their feelings and love.
