Bad show comes with great hair loss when you pull them out in frustration
This show caught my attention because the director helmed My Liberation Notes. The ML also starred in Notes as well as Because This Is My First Life. The FL was in One Spring Night and Our Blues which I rated highly. As you can see, it is quite a cabal of industry veterans and they pack serious firepower. It certainly started in a quirky and off-beat way. Not exactly laugh a minute but I can see the potential but there are red flags. The characters are painted with bold strokes if you want to be generous. The ML is rude, crude and takes no prisoners. The FL fairs a little better, but she is a wimp and doesn't behave like a 35 years old vet. Most of the supporting cast are opaque or caricatures of the usual motley crew.
The A-plot of the show is focused on the FL having to "reluctantly" touch a living being’s posterior to see fragments of their memory. I'm sure it got more than a chuckle at the pitch meeting.
What we ended up with is a collection of gags and ideas that already feels tired after 4 episodes. There are glimmers of hope in the early episodes, but EP.4 final jumped the shark for me.
Let's backtrack a little. Many funny and engaging shows have quirky and edgy themes, but we need some basic ingredients in the special sauce to make it works. For instance, charismatic lead(s), engaging story and/or strong internal logic. Unfortunately, this show is a fail for me. Please allow me to elaborate.
A charismatic lead allows us to overlook serious character flaws and even turn them into endearing traits. We want to be invested in our leads. In this case, the ML is bellicose from the start and behaves more like a thuggish bully than a police detective. He can also turn into a bootlicking toady with the blink of an eye. To say that his moral compass is spinning freely is an understatement.
On the other hand, the FL is a frumpy doormat. How can a vet get shanghaied without kicking up a fuss? Not to mention her whole career is a facade to appease her grandfather who wants nothing to do with her.
For a fleeing moment, I even entertained the idea that our leads is the OTP but to be honest, they have ZERO chemistry. However, the scenario of the FL going nuts over Suho just because of his good looks feels like an attack of the hormones. This plot idea walked with the dinosaurs.
In terms of internal logic, the show is a mess. So much of the settings, subplots, etc are nonsensical. Rules are either abused or ignored on a whim. A case in point, hair loss is a major issue for the FL. The show makes it clear that overuse the special power equates massive hair loss, simple. However, all through EP.4, she touched so many butts! How does this square with her phobia? I facepalmed when I saw the boomerang shoe. Ye gods!
As you can imagine, there are many dodgy gags, cringey slapstick moments, mostly involve the FL and awkward encounters. It is weird to watch the FL manipulating her BFF’s bum like a touch screen, swiping left and right, pushing and kneading for finer control. Sights of the white handprints on the firm buttocks of the gym junkies is just puerile. More excuses to watch the FL debase herself in front of the ML. The same ML who would blackmail, bully or cajole her mercilessly.
BTW, what police procedure would green-light a police captain charging into a drug kingpin's hideout solo . . armed with just a pencil. Yes, cute John Wicks reference but it works a whole lot better on paper. I’m also perplexed by the ML's (il)logic in randomly tasting white powder in shops as a legitimate way to spot drugs. I am exhausted.
The final straw for me is the abuse/harming of a young woman purely to inject some unnecessary shock/horror. What is more egregious is that the victim was only rescued by our leads from her abuser at the end of ep.3. The show spend the whole of ep.4 denigrating her so that when she was dragged away by a faceless assailant, we can feel "okay"? Nobody deserves that. It is callous and lazy writing.
At this stage, the Show is unwatchable for me. I might give it more leeway if it is a traditional farce. So why reach for the sinister plots and gratuitous violence which changes the tone completely? What would motivate such well regarded director and seasoned actors to sign on to this project. I hope it is not just money.
Can I watch 12 more episodes of this? Not unless I get hit by a meteorite.

KDeja Vu
Ok, if you've watched KDramas for any period of time then the setup of this one is going to seem familiar. The description should be:Overzealous cop gets into confrontation with a local woman of a misunderstanding. Comedy and crime ensue as they team up.
There's nothing wrong with covering the same ground as other kdramas, it's the exe ution that matters. So how is it?
The actors do a solid job, I don't think anyone puts a foot wrong.
Wish I could say the same about the script. The comedy is... quirky, perhaps even slapstick. I'm okay with that as long as there's other qualities to keep me interested. Unfortunately the writing struggles to stay within the rules it sets for itself which makes it confusing.
The characters are very much two dimensional, there's a promise of depth there but it doesn't appear. By Episode 5 I was waiting for the inevitable character development... but into Episode 6 it still wasn't happening, at which point I'd had enough.
Can't say much about the soundtrack, although Jaurims '25, 21' is always a win.
As with all things, reviews are an expression of personal perception of a thing. For me this show didn't work, ymmv.

Don’t Bother
If you want great reviews, write great. If you want this review, write like you did. The actors did what they could with this romcom that for some reason didn’t have a rom. Quickly the writers appeared to start a campaign regarding the lack of romance and began calling it a com rom…and this was just the beginning if it’s stupidity. Watch it and see! This was a murder mystery with slapstick. If the writers would have been honest about the genre, I definitely would have rated it higher, but then I probably wouldn’t have watched it. Their you have it in a nutshell my friends. Was this review helpful to you?
A slog
I really, really wanted to like it. And I really, really could not. I kept at it because the premise is so promising: A woman gains a ridiculous power with which she can help solve a serious crime. It could have been a unique combination of humor and seriousness, but -- to me -- it failed to deliver. The humor is sophomoric (and I am being kind here); some of the characters simply do not make sense (what is the deal with Bong's friend, the actress who played the younger sister in One Spring Night -- and whom I have loved in everything I have seen her in until now!); Moon is a HORRIBLE detective (and, of course, has a tragic history he is hiding) and is consistently unpleasant toward Bong; the main leads have absolutely no chemistry at all -- but we know they are destined to be together.
And, finally -- what is it with the main character, a vet, not wanting to work? It seems like she does not like animals at all....
I simply could not make it past episode 7.

A very entertaining drama !
I watched it and binged it . Han Ji Min is a favourite actress of mine and she did not disappoint . She was so funny , convincing , entertaining , full of life opposite the detective from Seoul who thought that everyone in the town was either queer or a pervert and who looked down on everyone including his new team mates ( beautifully played by Lee Min Ki) . Hilarious moments , dark moments , mysterious moments , and chilling moments when the murders begin to occur , suspense . . Then it is all systems go for the team to investigate what is happening in this peaceful corner of their town . Until almost the very end after the police suspect was killed , I wondered who on earth was this evasive murderer . It is all beautifully revealed and the future looks bright for both our main characters . Delightful .Was this review helpful to you?

Fair share of suspense and comedy
All my favorite genres are combined in this one drama, which is suspense, crime, comedy, and romance.although romance in this is very minimal the chemistry between leads is awesome, it's slow and gradual.
only two things bothered me. One is SML's death, I wish he didn't die, that did spoil my mood and left a bitter feeling towards the end. but there were a few comedy scenes after that to lift our mood, still, I wish he didn't die, that was very sad. the second one is that the leads kind of ended up together but nothing was official, maybe it was the end for us but a beginning for them and their relationship but I still wish there was more love story.
both leads acting was great, and even the side characters did a great job. overall loved it.

No romance
There is no romance. There is flirting, and actually very little of that at the end. I wish there was romance. I thought the 2 leads were cute, but the FL acted clueless. They should do a season 2 to catch up and then show romance, tk make up for the lack of in this season. I enjoyed the detective and seon Woo. Park annoyed me the entire show. The show definitely kept me guessing. When I thought I knew the answer, it changed. Parks makeup bothered me in the last few episodes. I just didn't understand it compared to the others. The makeup was not blended out and looked very chalky.

Hilarious yet surprisingly dark
At first I wasn't sure about this, but hey I needed an English dubbed show to diamond art to, so I stuck with it. The ONLY reason I had pause was the FL, I just wasn't super sold on her. And dear god PLEASE the voices they choose for English subs sometimes are just, ridiculous. But once I got into it, it was amazing. I couldn't stop watching it. Jang Yeol was hilarious with his pervert profiling of Ye Bun. I loved sweet SunWoo. Every side character was interesting as well. It REALLY did a great job at making you wonder who did it, and misleading you all over the place. I 100% didn't guess who had actually done it until maybe one episode before, if that.
The idea of butt touching was hilarious and never got old. I'm glad she kept her hair! Haha.
The romance was VERY minimal and after what happened to our poor SunWoo, I was happy that it was. She went from crushing so hard on him to being with Jang Yeol, if there was any romantic hint that she liked Jang Yeol at all, I could have let it slide. I did see Jang Yeol liking Ye Bun though. But like I said it is so minimal that it didn't bother me to much.
THE OS was AMAZING, I have it on my spotify playlist even.
AND finally we need to talk about how Ye Bun basically killed SunWoo. She could have grabbed the weapon and stabbed the killer! She could have at least taken the weapon AWAY from the killer! She just left him to die!
Overall an AMAZING show!

I think the only setback and its only my opinion, the chemistry between main female lead and second lead is better than ML and FML. Also, some side story that have very good build up but the execution was 5 out of 10.
Overall, it was such a nice drama. Unrealistic but entertaining.

Hilarious and Terrifying
The story is about a woman who gets a superpower after getting hit by a meteor. She can see someone's memories by touching their butt whether it's an animal or a human. Luckily she's a vet, which means this power can help her to observe the animal memories and give an explanation or solution to her patient. In the journey, she meets with a detective. This detective has a mission to find a drug dealer. Later on, there is a serious case where there is a murderer in that village.I like how they make the stories because it's so hilarious at first but later on it's become much more serious and intense to watch. There a several battle scenes that involve blood. So make sure you aren't afraid of blood if you want to watch this K-drama series. It's quite a plot-twist in the end when you know the culprit.
