Timeless drama
11 years later, this drama holds up (other than hairstyles on a few of the actors.) I waited for several years before I finally gave in and watched this drama, because I'm not a fan of the alien genre. But wow, this was so much better than I thought it would be! I am glad that I finally gave in and watched this. Was this review helpful to you?
I already rewatched it 5 times still love it evertime.
This is the drama that made history and millions of people started watching asian dramas because of this dramas just completed watching fifth time today. Definitely watch it more than one time a complete series of perfection and everything is on point acting and ost all that was very good though. I never thought i love a series this much still remember back then in 2013 i was watching this in my laptop and it was amazing don’t even compare old k dramas with today’s k dramas.Just watch it don’t even think.

The first half of this drama, I wasn't quite sure how I felt about it to be honest. Jeon Ji Hyeon
(Chun Song Yi) was a bit annoying at the best of times. (Okay, perhaps a lot.) But considering that was the character she played - I definitely can't say it's bad acting. In fact; it's GREAT that she made me feel like that. As for the other lead - Kim Soo Hyun (Do Min Joon) - I wasn't sure how I felt about his character at first either. But he grew on me really quickly. His interaction with people was amusing at the best of times!
The story/plot was good. Especially the second half of the drama knew to hold me in a tight grip, making me bingewatch it and cry many tears. I grew to love the supporting actors so much as well.
Compared to my favorite drama's, I couldn't give it an equal rating as them, purely because the first half made me feel a bit unsure about how I felt. But it's definitely not a bad drama and one I'll likely someday rewatch again.
I love the character development that took place with almost all characters. And not all romance has a happy ending - this was something that I really thought to be a nice touch as well!

a childish soap opera with little substance
What I likedActually, the humour is pretty great, the female lead is giving physical comedy bites that rarely pass the cringe line. in the first episodes, i was laughing a lot
What I didn't
1. The main couple. The main lead is doing the cold thing and making her cry a ton, her being in the worst time of her career. she inexlicably falls for him. okay, the explanation is that he is hot. wow. riveting stuff
2. the female lead. her whole personality is her beauty. life kicks her in the butt, which i have to admit the scenes were heatrbreaking, but she just wears new clothes and cries over it.
TL;DR
looks amazing, it's empty inside

No matter how much I try, don't like it.
This is one of the few dramas which I try to like and give fair chances but can't, I know it's a one of the most beloved dramas and I can see that perspective but i still don't like itIt's a 2013-14 drama, and aired around the same time to "I hear your voice" which is one of my all time favourite kdrama. This one had higher production value, star-studded cast, better cinematography, More unique storyline but failed to deliver the fundamental aspect of any drama (in my opinion) Character development.
It stars kim soo hyun and jun ji hyun both of them are eye candy, however I didn't like jun ji hyun's character here. She is an excellent actress, and I've seen her many movies including thieves(2012) which stars both of these actors. However her character is too childish here and the character development part is almost absent.
I first started this drama a few years ago and dropped it after 3-4 episodes , again started it a few years later (dropped it at 9th episode) and this is my third try and again dropped it at 9th episode. I don't know how that simple storyline spans over 20 episodes and i think the pacing is an issue as well.
One thing that i really liked in this drama is the villain, he portrayed the role perfectly
