both unfold inside prestigious high schools ruled by wealthy elite students who follow strict social ranks and hide dark secrets. a newcomer from a humble background transfers into this privileged world and disrupts the order while investigating a suspicious death or crime tied to the school. both dramas expose how rich families and powerful people cover up truth and protect their own no matter what happens. they show harsh bullying deep corruption and dangerous secrets hidden behind fancy school walls, and both keep tension high as the newcomer fights to uncover what everyone else is trying to bury.
The cover screams homo, the synopsis screams homo, the title screams homo, the character dynamics are homo, but the characters are actually straight because homosexuality doesn't exist in korea.
but if you put on your yuri goggles, medium thickness is enough, you can just imagine it's lesbian and it works perfectly
Really, they should invent a separate name for korean dramas like these, not exactly "womance" more like "schizo closeted" on a meta level

If you liked "Bitch X Rich" then you'd enjoy "Class of Lies" because:
• Both are set in school & about figuring out who the perpetrator of a murder case is.
• Although "Bitch X Rich" has more of a web-drama feel, it will definitely have you wondering who the killer is; Because everyone is suspicious.
• Both dramas serve no romance for the MLs.
Overall: I'd rate "Bitch X Rich" around a 6/10 because towards the middle it fell flat and the had an open ending; Whilst I'll rate "Class of Lies" around a 7.5/10.

Both explore elite school settings and the divide between rich students and outsiders.
Each story involves bullying, manipulation, and survival themes.
Characters are morally ambiguous, driven by ambition and desperation.
Despite being youth?centered, both lean toward dark tones rather than lighthearted school life.
