A good, lightful & comedic drama
Starting off it was expoentionly good, but as you watch you realise that has typical plot but at the same it's unique,Good factors:
*It contained amazing chemistry
*it was really funny
*The acting was amazing
*it was pretty exciting and I kept waiting for new episodes eagerly
No not so good factors:
*The storyline was messed up
*At some point the storyline was so predictable
*The timing and everything was going downhill as we reached the end of the drama
*It just had too much things
Spoilerrr - gu won returning as a demon make sense as he was immortal as a demon, ofc he would grieve for do hee if she died because she's a human, she's bound to die since she's an mortal, it would only make sense if he returned as a human
Not only me but many people think the same
So iam not tryna offend anyone..
In conclusion I really liked it overall I would recommend it

Watching this for Song Kang
Let me start with the fact that the actress Kim Yoo Jung looks like a doppelgänger with Ki Hyun Woo. Right down to the eye mold on the left cheek.As with Kdramas with chaebols. You can expect a villain. This villain became apparent after before the final reveal. As soon as you were shown the son being evil you can see the misdirect to the true villain. Although they did give a second misdirect with the cousin and the dad.
The mom really did not deserve a redemption arc in the end. Both Chairman Ju and Kim Se Ra. At least the sister Noh Soo A stayed true to being a self serving chaebol to the very end.
Of course what demon series wouldn’t do a past lives reincarnation. At least it makes a bit more sense in this series. I mean we need an original story of why he became a demon.
With the whole 200 year old demon I would imagine there are other demons too. My guess is that he is only accountable for however many souls there are clocks.
It also makes sense that a demon needs to be visual pleasing to the eyes. I mean who would sell their soul to an fugly mofo. I mean the devil is supposed to be god’s most beautiful angel before he fell into hell for an insurrection.
The side couple of Shin Na Jeong and Park Bok Yu was entertaining enough without eclipsing the main couple.
Overall, it is an easy watch despite this not being new or groundbreaking. It is just a guilty pleasure to watch Song Kang in another series where he looks hot with decent story and acting.

Average one time watch copy paste fantasy rom-com
It is an okayish and average one time watch.The leads looks adorable together.They were the only good part of this half baked show.The story was messy and there were line by line copied scenes from other shows.The show started decently then turned into a messy watch.Also the show villain was poor his character didn't gave me villain vibes.His villain revealation and era was poor too.The things he did as a villain was stupid.Then there was SML character who got wasted he was just a catalyst and supporting character in the show hell other characters got more plot than him.He would have been a better villain even if it would have been a predictable twist.Star Jin was useless and annoying too.But there were some iconic moments that Iliked like the tango fight scene of the leads.The gangstar gang & ML employee -FL secretary were hilarious they brought the comic element in the show.The past backstory was bad and unnecessary there was no need for a Joseon past backstory also unnecessarily adding FL to that backstory was a bad twist.The last two episodes were bad and stupid like the villain burning his own face,him returning to death without any scars after falling from so much high,then ML dying and returning on the same day there was no need to make him disappear for bringing angst in the show etc.The last episode was disappointing too with having only romantic scenes of the leads I was expecting a good iconic ending for the show it doesn't necessarily have to have been a sad ending though.The last episode felt like as usual ordinary other rom-com episodes of this show.

Sadly worse that I expected but with some really nice scenes
Song Kang did not impress me as an actor here as in Love Alarm or Nevertheless. Even in Navillera, he had his charm. I think it's because he's young and they're making him even younger. He's great in serious moments...I enjoyed them. Even the funny ones can be good and then there are embarrassing scenes that don't suit him and he knows it and everyone can see it..or not and it just bothers me. And I didn't like his hairdresser and make-up artist. The main female character was better. She thought appropriately, rationally, and soberly. In my opinion, the last episode was unnecessary. No creativity in how he came to life. Or should they let him die..he wouldn't be the first or the last. The side characters were awkward. I don't like this very much, it takes away points from the series, and people's IQ has just decreased. Fortunately, there were also negative characters and they balanced it out a bit more. I was expecting some secret story about the demon's son, but nothing. I missed it. At least there was a secret contract with the young woman's father..:)Was this review helpful to you?
Didn’t live up to expectations
While My Demon had intriguing storylines, the conclusion of said storylines felt a bit rushed. Some of them could definitely have been more fleshed out. There was a lot of unnecessary dialogue through the 15 episodes. Some storyline decisions were questionable. Mainly regarding the villains of the show. While being presented as evil and powerful, they never felt like a real threat of the ML or FML. Overall, the show had some bright spots but ultimately fails to get to the core of the audience.Was this review helpful to you?
Good Enough
Korean Drama '' My Demon '' is a fantasy romantic comedy with enough comical moments, beautiful cinematography, and an enjoyable love story.The drama has a strong start, with pretty scenes and impressive cinematography that blends nicely with the comedy reliefs that the drama adds here and there. The family drama is quite enjoyable as well, with many melodramatic moments. The crime case as well has some intense moments.
The love story, on the other hand, is basic and predictable. And yet, it is a guilty pleasure, with enough romantic moments and cheesy scenes to keep things interesting.
The performances, in addition, were all great by everyone in the cast.
So, overall, seven out of ten.

IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR BASED ON NEW CONCEPT THEN DON'T WATCH IT
THE STARTthis show started as a very exciting drama, I loved how the roles suits them & very expensive taste it had in the beginning. it gave me a very elegant vibe.. no one appreciated the Jeon gu won outfits,they were very cool.. I had many expectations on this.. I love how slowly gu won behavior change and their chemistry was wow the cast was way too perfect

my expectations starts going down 📉 after watching that it has past lovers misfortune.. this 2023 was full of past lovers misfortune means almost the same story but in different font.. I would say that the storyline was really dumb but only ml & FL carried the show w their goofy chemistry.. the story is really slow & boring the first 9 episodes were good but not the rest of it. the ending was nothing but a copy paste from another Kdrama story I already knew that it would have a happy ending cuz seeing how the story line went & sorry to offend you but gu won wasn't a green flag he was only a green flag towards do do he and some dialogues were really cute & some dialogues were cringe obviously it was the directors fault
MORAL
the story itself is unrealistic I love fantasy but it was so predictable ngl obviously there is no way anyone were gonna die in episode 10 after all we had more 6 episodes left also in episode 15 gu won was meant to comeback after all what will happen in 16 if the ml aint alive that's why I say it's very predictable it's nothing but a modern version of copy paste drama so if you are looking for new concept it's not the best

Demon that love human
The story is about a demon that encounters a woman which takes his power. The demon lost his power and he tried all ways to get his power back. In the middle of journey, he slowly fall in love with the woman. Lot of potential, but comes crashing to a halt in the final episodes
TL;DR - Worth a watch, but don't get overly invested.If there is one way to sum up My Demon, it would be "wasted potential". It had a phenomenal cast, a plot that initially seems gripping, and a promising OST. But it then proceeds to spend 16 episodes doing nothing with each of those elements.
Starting with the OST, it immediately grips you episode one with TRUE - YOARI. But aside from True and Whenever Wherever, many of the songs quickly wear out their welcome due to repetition. It feels like the producers found a song for each emotion they wanted to evoke, and then just played that song to invoke a feeling, with no real diversity or writing to back it up. Perfect example - using the main song TRUE when Jung Gu Won returns to save Do Do Hee. Theoretically, a great scene, if we hadn't heard the song over and over, in addition to the scene just not really landing right due to improper build up.
Which brings us to the next issue - the writing team squandered a phenomenal hook with the plot by trying to shoehorn in every single kdrama trope you can imagine. Secret God hiding behind the scenes as a beggar? Check. Protagonist losing their OP powers to force tension? Check. Extremely forced break-up in the final act? Check. Weird trauma connecting the ML to FL to force said break up, without any proper explanation or payoff? Check. If they had just kept the plot focused on the murder of Chairwoman Joo and properly hidden the true killer better, it would have been a vastly more interesting show. Unfortunately, it quickly becomes apparent that Jung Gu Won will simply snap his fingers to get Do Do Hee out of any situation, but then oddly not actually see it through immediately, because then we'd have no show. This becomes increasingly apparent when they keep randomly mentioning Jung Gu Won's need to fill contracts as a demon, but only when they need to manufacture a time crunch to remind the audience they should actually be caring about the demon vs god plotline instead of the murder mystery part.
The only thing that saves the show from being totally bland and average is the chemistry between the cast. Both the ML/FL and the SML/SFL make adorable couples with tons of great moments. it feels like they were written by an entire separate team of writers compared to the rest of the plot. Watching Jung Gu Won awkwardly try to play homemaker with Do Do Hee was some of the best moments of the show. It's just a shame that it comes grinding to a halt when they decide to shoehorn in the weird connection of Jung Gu Won actually having signed a deal with Do Do Hee's father and being there on the day of his death. It's clear they were trying to force a confrontation by trying to make Jung Gu Won responsible for Do Do Hee's parents' death, but it isn't written well enough to make sense. He never actually does anything to her parents, but then basically dumps her and runs away out of shame, only to come back and then they never really address it as a couple? It is entirely overshadowed by the fact that she dies to save him, and then he resurrects her and dies himself for breaking one of God's rules. It felt incredibly hamfisted, like the writing team needed to hit a set number of cliches per episode so they forced it in there to be more like Goblin King or Tale of the Nine Tailed. After all, what good is a fantasy kdrama without the MC "dying" in the penultimate episode?
So overall, it is a perfectly serviceable show, just not very unique. Each thing it does is simply done better, in another show. Want ill-fated romance and tragedy? Goblin King. MC with cool superpowers that chooses to give it up to be with FL? Tale of the Nine-Tailed. Tragic past-lives connection? Destined with You. Burning chemistry between the leads with a romance that will both make you laugh and sob at the same time? Crash Landing on You. My Demon is basically an amalgamation of a bunch of different shows, and it does each thing just slightly worse than the show it's copying.

Meh
Probably best done as a film trilogy. Some of the acting is questionable at best. A few LOL moments especially the tango dance, but that’s down to the comedy displayed by the head honcho. There’s just too many cringe moments. Get rid of all those and you’re left with about 6 hours of good fun, a compelling storyline and some decent vfx. light & entertaining but lacklustre finish
Song Kang, the "Netflix King" for having so many shows exclusively on this network, shows his comic talents in this story of a demon, Jeoung GuWon, who takes advantage of despair & suffering to make deals with humans willing to trade their souls for relief. A master in the human world who is used to having absolute power, he meets by chance Do Do Hee, a workaholic CEO who proves to be his nemesis. DDH is played by Kim Yoo Jung (a veteran at age 24) who gives her character a refreshing hard nosed edge, with enough depth to reveal a lost & vulnerable soul within without turning her into a caricature.This show is infused with funny moments in spite of its very dark undertones. And although all the usual romance tropes are in play, somehow they're not annoying when you have SK to look at, & whose dramatic acting is actually decent. The storyline follows a largely predictable path but with smaller twists that aren't so obvious & keep things interesting. There's also the past lifetimes theme which is very popular in fantasy genres, showing how demons are born from pain & resentment, & tying the lead characters together over centuries. And, of course, no demon is complete without a demon hunter, but the character who I thought would be that, didn't become that. Questions of who or what constitutes evilness, whether the devil is in humanity or exists separately, are ever present. And, God is a woman, also of course, & one whom this demon serves.
In spite of the questions, Demon is not a deeply philosophical journey, but is entertaining and very binge-able until the rather lacklustre final episodes where innocents are redeemed & bad guys get their due.

it is not great & it is not bad drama
If you need a drama that is easy to watch this one is for you. Is is not great and it is not bad.I have to say the first half was better as probably from 11ep it is getting a little bit boring. Is would be better if it had less episodes.
The acting is okay and of course the visuals of Koo Woo. The chemistry between leads is great!
overall it is a great drama if you want to watch something where you can just switch off and not use your brain.
