It’s quite complicated

Three episodes in, and I can already tell this series isn’t going to be as simple as it first appears.

Trying to form a definite opinion on Big Jane after only three episodes feels almost impossible. We don’t actually know him; we only know the version of him everyone else talks about, and with every episode, that version changes. I’m not saying he’s innocent, because he clearly isn’t. But I also don’t think it’s fair to place every consequence entirely on him when so many of the people pointing fingers knowingly made their own choices. This isn’t a simple case of one villain ruining everyone else’s lives.

The cinematography is beautiful and does an amazing job of building tension. The wardrobe and character styling are also great, and the OST has easily become one of my favourites.

What I appreciate most is the writing. Every episode gives you new information that makes you question what you thought you knew. Whether the story completely subverts our expectations or simply reveals that the truth has been right in front of us all along, I think it’s going to be surprising either way.

Ironically, Little Jane is the character I’m most conflicted about. I find myself questioning his choices more than anyone else’s, and I’m really interested to see where his story goes.

If there’s one thing I’d say before anyone starts watching, it’s this: don’t take everything at face value and don’t assume you already know what’s happening. Trying too hard to force the story into one direction might make you miss what it’s actually trying to show you.

If you’ve read this far, I apologize for how lengthy this is ✋🏼🙂‍↔️🤚🏼

This University BL Is the Definition of Toxic With Red Flags, Thrills and Psychological Manipulation

Another university BL, but this one feels completely different.

Don't Be Too Emotional takes a familiar campus setting and turns it into a mature romance layered with mystery, thriller, and supernatural elements. It never feels cringeworthy or overly dramatic, which is exactly why it stands out from the many university BLs we've had this year.

The biggest strength of this series is easily Tee and Heng's chemistry. I never watched Love Truck, so this was my first time seeing them together, and they completely won me over. Every glance gave me butterflies. Their chemistry feels effortless, and you can feel the attraction building without relying on constant fan service or forced romantic moments. Knowing there's an eight year age gap between them in real life, with Tee being 32 and Heng 24, makes it even more impressive that they convincingly play characters who are the same age.

Tee completely owns the screen as Big Jane. He's rich, mysterious, unbelievably handsome, and has the kind of presence that immediately commands attention. His entrance in Episode 1 was unforgettable. When he walked into the room shirtless, he had this dark, almost supernatural aura that genuinely reminded me of a demon. Then there's Little Jane, the fearless and charming soccer player who isn't intimidated by him in the slightest. From the moment they locked eyes on the field, I was completely invested in their dynamic.

This series does a fantastic job balancing romance and mystery. Their encounters on the soccer field, in the library, and later at the bar all feel natural, yet there's an underlying tension that keeps you wondering what Big Jane is really hiding. He already gives off the impression that there's something much darker beneath the surface, and I wouldn't be surprised if he turns out to be incredibly manipulative. That hidden side only makes me even more excited to see where the story goes.

Everything about this drama works for me. The cast is excellent, the story is simple but engaging, the cinematography is beautiful, and the OST is incredible, especially the English version. Even the opening song perfectly captures the mood with the lyrics, "You're a red flag but I'm colourblind. I know you're dangerous. If it burns, let it burn me alive."
That line couldn't be more fitting.

After fours episodes, Big Jane has become exactly the kind of character I was hoping for. He's obsessive, manipulative, emotionally unpredictable, and a compulsive liar, yet he's impossible to look away from. He's a walking red flag, and somehow that only makes him more fascinating. Tee's performance makes every scene feel intense, and I can't wait to see just how far this character is willing to go.

There have been so many university BLs released this year, but after only three episodes, Don't Be Too Emotional has already become my favorite. It feels fresh, the chemistry is outstanding, the mystery keeps pulling me in, and every episode leaves me wanting more. If the series can maintain this quality until the finale, I genuinely think it'll be one of the year's most memorable BLs.

Episode 3 continues to blur the line between truth and rumor.

Jane is surrounded by frightening stories, yet every rumor seems to have one thing in common—the people involved broke their promise first. That makes it difficult to decide whether Jane is truly dangerous or simply misunderstood.

Jenaree has always lived for the happiness of others rather than his own. Perhaps that's exactly why Jane was drawn to him in the first place.

The more Jenaree hears negative opinions about Jane, the more he wants to believe him. Ironically, love sometimes creates doubt instead of certainty.

At this point, I still can't tell whether Jane is a devil hiding behind a handsome smile or someone unfairly judged by everyone around him. The series is doing a good job of keeping that mystery alive.

I'm looking forward to learning more about Jane's past. Until the drama reveals more of his cards, it's still impossible to know who he really is.

The Devil is Beautiful

Red flags and toxic traits run amuck in this series, but since that's the whole point, we are tuning in for it. It's Jane v. Jane in a battle of wills and I think we're all hoping for a sympathy for the Devil redemption arc, but we'll see. So far I'm 3 episodes in and the writing is keeping me locked in with all the little twisted details.

This series would make you obsessed

The casting is epic and with just two episodes out it's already that good, if they keep this up, then this series is gonna be fire.
These people came on my screen and collectively decided to ruin my standards for every BL that comes after them. The chemistry is so good that even their shoes are flirting. The acting? Incredible. The cinematography? Gorgeous. The OST? Straight to my playlist. The dialogue? Whoever wrote it deserves a raise. I'm only two episodes in, and I'm already planning to emotionally support this cast for the rest of the year. 1,000,000/10. Everyone involved deserves a hug, a trophy, and my eternal gratitude.

A Demon Who Can Fulfill Every Wish… But at What Cost?

🚨 Manipulative ML alert!!! 🚨

Plot: Absolutely thrilling and exciting — it keeps you hooked without trying too hard.
Chemistry: I’m literally burning from their insane chemistry… it’s not just good, it’s EXACTLY what I signed up for — so YESSS, I’m HOOKED! 🔥
Visuals: Top-notch. The stylists absolutely nailed it. 👏
Acting: Perfect. No comparisons needed — they’re owning their roles in their own unique way.
Atmosphere: Pure fire. No notes. 🔥

And honestly? You don’t need to go flaw-hunting just to downplay perfection. A series is meant to be enjoyed, not turned into a full-blown documentary analysis 😌🍷

Unpopular opinion: If you’re going to watch a series, at least check the genre first. And yes—if you’re out here magnifying minor flaws while ignoring the masterpiece they’re delivering… I can’t help but side-eye that 💅

This one? Yeah… I’m staying seated. 😌🍿✨

Probably one of the best Adaptation

Review: Don't Be Too Emotional (2026)

Don't Be Too Emotional is one of the most intriguing Thai BL dramas of 2026, blending romance, mystery, and psychological tension into a story that immediately hooks its audience. Adapted from Hwang Seol's novel, the series follows Jane Jennalee and the enigmatic Jane Patrick, whose mysterious reputation and dangerous allure create an atmosphere filled with curiosity and suspense.

What makes the drama stand out is its execution. While the novel can sometimes feel confusing because of its nonlinear storytelling and overwhelming amount of information, the television adaptation presents the plot in a much more coherent and engaging way. The pacing is smoother, allowing viewers to understand the mystery without losing the intrigue. Even within the first two episodes, the adaptation successfully builds tension while gradually revealing pieces of the characters' pasts and motivations.

The chemistry between Heng Thatpong and Tee Boonyakait is undoubtedly the series' biggest strength. Their interactions are filled with subtle glances, emotional restraint, and undeniable tension, making every shared scene captivating. Rather than relying solely on romantic moments, the drama develops their relationship through trust, curiosity, and emotional vulnerability, which makes the romance feel more meaningful.

Visually, the series is impressive. The cinematography, soundtrack, and lighting enhance the mysterious atmosphere, while the direction carefully balances romance with psychological suspense. Each episode leaves enough unanswered questions to keep viewers eager for the next installment.

Overall, Don't Be Too Emotional is proving to be a stronger adaptation than its source material. It refines the novel's complex narrative into a more accessible and emotionally engaging story without sacrificing the mystery that made the original unique. If the series maintains its current quality throughout its run, it has the potential to become one of the standout Thai BL dramas of the year.

Jane X Jane: Dark Romance, Words of Affirmation, Mind Games

The first episode was indeed an enjoyable watch, but what will happen after?

Something tells me this story is going to be far more than what the first episode delivered, and I’m eager to see what else it will bring.

It may seem like sweet romance on the surface but it’s nothing like that, I’m sure.

The plot is intriguing, mysterious too, it pulls viewers in. The acting is also great, chemistry is amazing, and the men are gorgeous.

But I’m curious to see how this “manipulative” ML who’s using the MC’s love language (words of affirmation) to draw him in, I’m curious to see how he would eventually fall head-over-heels in love.

You better join the watch train now, this is another promising Thai BL.

(I’ll edit as I watch)

Omg?

The first episode and my jaw is already on the floor. Tell me why it was perfect beginning to the end.
First things first. The storyline is soo interesting that just keeps you hooked on. I've been waiting for this adaptation for a while and it definitely doesn't disappoint (atleast the first episode).
The music? Holy shit. It does an amazing job at capturing the eerie and sorta adventurous vibe of the series.
The casting is amazing. Both male leads are soo handsome it's just eye candy all over.
The chemistry? The tension? I couldn't stop watching. The tension between the leads was sooo obvious and the actors did an absolute amazing job.
Overall, highly recommend. Can't wait for the next episode!!

Why do you use Anglo-Saxon names in the series, when you have beautiful Thai names? If you really want to know Jane is a female name, I don't see such a stupidity in using it as a male name!
AHahahhahaha
King is also a MALE title how do you call a girl King? Why didn't you name her Queen, if you really wanted an Anglo-Saxon name????

And in almost every series you use football as a basis, and I'm really interested, a country of over 70 million inhabitants, you have never made it to the finals of the World Cup? Change it up a bit.

It's as if parts of the shots in the series are missing...suddenly, after the game, they are in the garage practicing dancing, then Jane is looking for a jacket, and the next scene is Jane scratching and entering the room shirtless?!??!?! As if the director missed some agreements between the two of them, we don't read minds, we watch the show.
