A dose of fluff
This is typical rom com, sweet, good chemistry and full of predictable fluff, gestures and not a single moment of substance. The perfect filler with pretty shots, cliches for as far as the eye can see, no annoying elemants just pure romcom entertainment. If you are looking for anything new, some kind of depth, signs of intelligence, realism or quality move a long there is nothing to see here. Bit for those of us who can enjoy a moment or two where we turn off our brain and just enjoy the fluff this is not a bad place to find it.

A movie so good, feels like you are in LOVE
woah.!!! don’t know where I should begin……an amazing movie…I have nothing but praises.• if you are looking for something light hearted, this movie is for you, it has no villains, no obstructions and the leads enjoy a good amount of screen time…
• the chemistry between the leads is sizzling and trust me by the end you would end up asking for more…how I wish this could be longer….
• The best part about the movie is, that it is realistic yet dreamy, it gives you butterflies, trust me you’ll feel it, it low key has those old movie vibes, that make you keep on wanting to watch more…
• both the actors did a wonderful job and plot, although just another love story, is pretty unconventional and something fun to watch. This movie, in all senses is a great Rom-Com……!!!
• I am soooo glad I randomly came across this and ended up watching it, every single minute I was laughing, blushing, rolling and had butterflies after such a long time.
I watched such a great movie in AGES, will a 1000% re watch it.!!!!

It Delivers Light-Hearted, Unpretentious Storytelling and Palpable Chemistry Between BarDa
Why You Should Watch It Now1. It showcases the undeniable & sizzling ✨ chemistry between Barbie and David that joyously 🎉 transcends from TV to the big screen. Even the seniors in the cinema where I watched it can't help but giggle whenever they have confrontation scenes. 😊
2. It's a romantic 💓 comedy that serves on point yet very tense🔥and butterflies-in-the-stomach inducing conversations between the main leads - you would wish you were there in the scene with them. 😊😊 The yacht scene is my favorite. I wish Adam and Mila would stay in that yacht until they produce 12 kids together. 😂 😂
But, seriously, that yacht-long conversation scene can make your heart tremble and your knees weak. 😊 David has really mastered the subtle acting art. Every nuance, expression, gesture, and vocal delivery of someone who's falling in love - HE BLOODY NAILED IT.
3. Barbie Forteza wears so many beautiful dresses 👗 in this movie. She officially ended 💅 her teen-girl persona era while she struts around wearing all those chic and fashionable outfits.
4. Some scenes are filmed in South Korea. 🌸 They added a more romantic ambiance ✨ to the whole story.
5. No villains, no side stories, the whole movie is all about how love finds Adam and Mila. 😊
6. No poverty porn! Yes! It depicts the Philippines positively, showing affluent places and decent working and dwelling spaces for the female lead. I hate it when Filipino movies keep on showcasing poverty porn.
My only complaint is that it's TOO short despite being a 2-HOUR-PLUS LONG movie. I wanted more. It's BITIN! It's not enough for me 😭 😭

Early teenage me would've loved this movie.
That Kind of Love is a cheesy movie flooded with blandly executed cliches. It’s a lighthearted, medium-paced romcom with corny romantic scenes and little to no comedy. If I take a shot every time I cringe, I will get wasted. The story is easy to follow and ends nicely. Despite being anti-climatic, it still has a deserved happy ending. The wardrobe choices for the leads are tolerable. Mila's outfits are cute, but her office looks aren't up to professional standards. The soundtrack is good, and the colour-grading is nice for the scenes in South Korea.
Aside from the cliche tropes, the movie's other flaw is the discrepancy in the acting skills. Despite the overuse of eye-rolling to emphasise annoyance, Barbie knows how to make distinguishable expressions. On the other hand, David showed the same expression for different emotions. Adam looks like an emotionless, smug-faced robot at all times. It made the corny scenes less bearable and made interactions look awkward.
I consider this a filler movie and not a must-watch. Watch this if you want something unserious to watch in your spare time. I watched this at different mealtimes, so the movie doesn't feel like a complete waste of time.

The scenes in Korea saved it for me
The good:when they were in Korea (meant more to me because I just returned from my first visit there).
The not good:
-The acting. With some of the actors, you could actually almost hear what was going on in their minds, "Now I walk to the door, stop, turn." Wooden or over the top acting by all.
-The makeup for the FL. The pink, pink cheeks and the pink lipstick. Learn to blend the makeup, people!
-The storyline. I've seen this story 100 times done better.
-Costuming. The women all dressed so skimpily and sleazily. Are shorts, midriffs and high heels a thing in the workplace? Not a good look for anyone.
-No chemistry between leads, partially because I felt like I was watching them "act".
My rating is only what it is because of the Korea shots, otherwise it would have been even lower.
