Ugly, filthy, disgusting... I already read that this description fits perfectly how their relationship was in the novel, but for this adapted version, in my opinion, it's a bit too harsh. They had many wonderful, joyful, and warm moments, and I personally can't discard or forget about them. But the break-up was needed. I know that. They had to get out of this on-and-off, back-and-forth loop they both were stuck in. 😔I was surprised that she hadn't said anything to him about Yuanzhu's death and hate that they still are not telling things to each other even after these six years in general. Like him, about the fact the board had found out about them… He chose not to tell her so she wouldn't leave him or Lime, but instead, she left both... And he doesn't even know how his efforts to step away from her life have been in vain (that is, if that didn't happen off-screen again). 😫P.S. For me, the most heartbreaking moment was when she wanted to take the dog, but it didn't want to go, and later it ran after her and Nian watched them together from a distance. I am sure he talked to the dog to make it run after her.

Tracy the messenger from hell

Wow! As often as Luke truly deserved to hear those charges against him……the awards night wasn’t it. Flora channels Luke and hurls with both barrels everything she’s held back for six years. It never crossed her mind he was being blackmailed by the woman that should have had her back….the one that hired her because she saw potential…but damn….that potential was kicked to the curb the second she had an excuse to get that 250 million endorser in her pocket. It is unclear if this was Tracy’s decision to make new girl specialist or higher up the chain but Luke would have to transfer and let her get the undeserved promotion so Flora could stay. He also unwisely again chose to leave Flora in the dark about their decision. For the bulk of this drama I felt Luke had it coming in spades….but not like this. Flora devastated him in one brief ugly conversation. This is the first time I was in Luke’s corner 100%. Tracy had him pinned because even if he left the company, she was going to be sure Flora had to go. This was Flora’s reward for standing up for the women in the company and pissing off the unscrupulous board that hired that pos Dony to play roughshod with women in general, antagonize Luke, and steal money from the company. What a prize he was.😝😡🤬 Flora had to accept the loss of a position she earned because of the money. Luke stupidly asks if Yuan Zhu was coming because she never bothered to tell him what happened. She is following his course of instruction in how to respond in a brutal petty manner without listening to the other side or getting to the truth first before accusations. She followed his playbook exactly and Karma met Luke’s communication style and lack of regard when pissed in a full force head on unfixable collision. Who knew that she could not only clap back at him but take it to the next level? Luke should have chased after her and explained things, but once again his pride and ego got in the way and he refused to let her know how hard he had fought for her. He thought it was a given she would know. I originally called Tracy a traitor and then the messenger….but as I wonder which one she is I can only say yes to both. She was instrumental in Flora’s hiring and also losing out the specialist position she had busted her ass for 6 years to earn because what was one year to wait? Tracy could keep in contact with Luke, keep Flora there to train her replacement and have 250 million….she didn’t see a downside. She at least had enough conscience to look sheepish for a whole minute while accepting Flora’s gratitude and resignation. 🙄😡 I will always have mixed feelings for her now. How much did she have to do with making promises for the new girl to start high in the company so daddy’s money would go there. I am disgusted with her and not sure my mind will change. She betrayed her two best workers and let Flora leave without telling her anything. Once Flora resigned, she wasn’t indebted to Luke to keep his secret. I’m betting she still thinks she will get them both back under different terms. I am hoping she is dead wrong and always regretful for her part in the award debacle and their departures. Little 250 million new girl could have waited a year to work there first as well….Flora’s six years were kicked to the curb and Luke could be a phone call away. They are both better off being shed of this company. 😝 Luke did a good job giving her dog back. Furry friends feel like children and he had done 90% of the care. That was evident when furry Luke didn’t want to leave his home. This was one good deed that gets him a gold star for a true act of selflessness. Lumi will get to sell off all those designer bags that Flora always hated. Each one of them made Flora feel less of herself and misunderstand his intent with their relationship. I am hoping she keeps in contact with Lumi, but she may not trust her to not give Luke her new number. The last reveal was Yuan Zhu putting up the money for the house to let his friends have their home. I hope the landlord gets the mom away from deadbeat husband and gets her the money where she can actually keep it. For Flora and Furry Luke….next stop is Harbin. Flora 2.0 with new dreams for future ready to take shape. She did at least thank Luke for the six years and wished him well, but blocked him right after sending. I am wondering what lengths he will go to to find her?
