The Lie We Should Have Lived In
Although this series is completely implausible, it is just so much fun to watch because it hooks you in with its preposterous premise. In hindsight, this might have worked better as a comedy, as the whole concept is ridiculous. To be sure, it is entertaining, but predictably so. We can guess how it is all going to come out after just a few episodes. That is how obvious it became. It is nonetheless intoxicating to watch given how handsome all the protagonists and antagonists were. This series, for all its faults, honestly does try. But due to inept writing, poor direction, and an absurd premise you have a bumbling inept individual who takes credit for solving a crime that he had nothing to with solving. But it sure is fun to watch simply for the silliness of it. Honestly, I think this would have been a great “Pink Panther” story if you get the reference. Was this review helpful to you?
And they lived happily, even after the lie
An intriguing, unique, and very engaging plot. The story follows a cop who crosses paths with an assassin while visiting his friend’s house, the same place where every hidden lie is eventually revealed. The buildup was done really well, with each episode becoming more intense as the story progressed.“I’m in love with the criminal.” Their relationship was one of the highlights. They argue, clash, and then end up sharing incredibly intimate moments afterward. The chemistry between them is undeniably sexy. Seo Yi Do is especially captivating, with his rugged masculine physique and sharp, defined features.
The reveal that Chu Tae Jeong’s longtime friends were involved in his father’s death was a solid twist, although I admittedly saw it coming. That episode was absolute chaos, in the best way possible. So many characters were stabbed or shot, yet somehow the two lovebirds remained alive and kicking through it all.
Overall, it was a good drama, though I feel it could have pushed its story even further, especially the ending. The execution of the scenes, especially the action sequences, was flawless. I had a great time watching it.

Thriller turns into intimacy
A BL story about a serial killer and a friendly police officer visiting his friend. This drama has great mystery elements and you can feel the tension. the length is good, I don't think it needed to be any longer than it already is. The ending is also satisfactory. The side characters are also confusing; some losers start doing drugs and kill an investigating cop? The "trouble" that the side characters get into are not described well. Since its quite a short drama it is better to focus on the main scenes and the chemistry of the couple rather than all of the details in the drama.
I still highly enjoyed the drama and hope to see more of the main leads.

Mesmerized
Literally created an account just for this review. 6 episodes in and it's becoming my favorite K-BL. The framing and cinematography are excellent, the story is rough without romanticizing the violence, and I'm buying the story. Every episode ends with some sort of cliffhanger and I appreciate how impactful they feel. I want to watch the next episode, not for the relationship but because the plot and editing make me want to see more.Minus point for the AI use in the generic.

The two MLs were excellent, as were all the co-stars. The story was engrossing, with action, suspense, and violence. The violence stems from the storyline of a corrupt politician and his corrupted son & the son’s friends, who knew little of right from wrong. The main storyline was about one man trying to find the truth behind his father’s death. It’s all very involved and I think they did a pretty good job of getting it across and resolving it all in 8 , 20-minute episodes.
Kudos to the studio who produced this and put forth a quality series.

ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT!!
I honestly doubted myself if I should watch this. BUT YOU KNOW THE DIRECTOR MADE LOVE IN THE BIG CITY SO I TRUSTED WE GOT SOME GOOD STUFF HERE!!Anyway, it's a unique story, something we don't really see much nowadays (well if we talk about BL). The chemistry is there, the plot is good, the actors played their roles well and every scene gave us good ending hooks! Every ending has a cliffhanger that will make you so interested and impatient to wait for the next episode!!! I was so stressed waiting for 1 week but I'm so happy they weren't selfish in giving us two episodes per week. It's perfect!!!
AHHHH I lost interest in Korean BL these days but this show made me believe that KBLs still have it!!
WILL WAIT FOR THE NEXT MASTERPIECE OF SON TAE GYUM!!

One House, Endless Secrets, and Zero Chill
This is sooooo good! This is a perfect example of how much it can matter to have a genuinely gripping story and actors who can actually sell it, even without a flashy budget. It doesn't matter at all that pretty much the whole thing is shot in the same house with just a handful of actors.
It kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. Insanely tense. Episodes always air in pairs (about 40 minutes total), and each pair ends on a massive cliffhanger — then the next pair somehow manages to hold that tension all the way through and end just as intensely. Not many shows can pull that off.
What really made the series work for me was the chemistry between the two leads. Their relationship constantly balances attraction, suspicion, curiosity, and distrust. Neither of them fully knows whether the other can be trusted, which makes every interaction feel charged. And that kiss scene? Yeah... I've definitely rewatched that more than once.
The ending was very sweet, maybe almost a bit too sappy for me, especially with the love confession. I mean, come on, you've known each other for what, a few days? And for most of that time, one of them thought the other was his best friend's older brother.
Personally, I would have been perfectly happy with something a little more understated. A simple "Let's deal with everything first, and then find each other again when it's over" would have felt more natural to me. But I understand why the writers chose a more romantic ending.
If anything, I would have loved a slightly more Bonnie and Clyde ending — something like both of them on the run, in hiding under new identities, but building a good life together anyway.
Still: 10/10.

you never know what’s going on inside someone’s house, huh?a cage, a hidden basement, kissing in the shower while dead bodies lie on the floor, burnt breakfast...
a rather stupid cop, a killer who can’t kill; you name it, the lie we lived in has it all.
nonetheless, i really enjoyed it. im glad kbl is investing more in the crime and thriller genre. let’s just hope they have enough budget, because as i said, all of this is happening inside of a house
8,5/10, very enjoyable but the story and characters are a 6,5/10

Short but it is so good
My first review yeah!If this series had more than 24 minutes i wouldn't be even mad, because omg in one minute it was so sweet and other minute you don't know who will be alive to next episode. This i can tell about whole 8 episodes.
it was exciting watch how this story will develop and how our criminal and cop couple end up together.
Overall i am so happy with ending.
btw i need at least special episode because i need see their boyfriends era. They are so cuteee.

i was sat every WEEK
i stumbled across this masterpiece on bloody youtube shorts and man was that a good choice. i had found it just a few day after eps 1+2 had aired so i was quite early to it!! i was able to through both the pleasure and the agony of having to wait each week for something this good. the fact that the director of this series also directed the great "love in the big city", i was SAT for this one! the story was interesting but now i look back on it, i don't really remember how any of it linked together but it wasn't a disaster and i really appreciated the acting. i'm sorry but seo i do is SO FINE, i had to rewind at some points because i was distracted. his nose is so beautiful. anyway - the chemistry between seo i do and chu tae jeong was INSANE!!! i was giggling and tossing in a dang heatwave mind you, because they wanted to touch each other's lips when they thought the other was sleeping. i'm so not ready to move on. of course they had to fall under the sad sad reality of 8, 20 minute, episodes - aka giving us next to nothing about anything. this is why i can sympathise that the storyline for me had gaps and felt rushed since it had to be but i loved the way it was executed and shot so i'm not really complaining. i don't remember a lot of things after a series anyway...THEY RETIRED ON THE FAROE ISLANDS! i can't survive with them. and tae jeong still remembered about buying i do's painting. i'm officially emotionally attached to this series and these characters. this is now a sensitive but joyous topic for me

Drama soo good one wouldn't realise it was shot in 1 house
99% of the drama is literally shot in 1 house. The drama is definitely a budget friendly one but the script and acting didn't make us feel it. I absolutely loved the clumsy cop x killer plot. Each and every actor in the series, including the father were serving looks with amazing acting. They did lack blood supply though🤣 cz when it came to blood splatter scenes which would need large amounts of fake blood they just switch the camera angle and hide it. It was funny to watch them do that over and over again. Overall I really liked the drama it was super interesting. The plot twist was pretty shocking for me although I did guess it to some extent, it was definitely not what I thought was the story. The reason I gave it a 9 was cz i felt some scenes were just kinda out of context. Like after all the villain die they just makeout infront of the bodies😳 umm what?
Also I felt like in the last 2 episodes I needed more scenes instead of them just hinting everything. I feel if this drama had a good budget with 12 episodes. Even with the same actors and directors it'd have been a masterpiece. Especially if they added the backstory of the leads like how I Do ended up with the mayor's man and how he raised him... and his attachment towards him finally leading to his death..that build up would be amazing. Same in the case of Tae Jeong, if they showed his life with his family and how the father's death affected his life. His wish to avenge his father's death, the betrayal.. if those scenes were given the right time 🤌🤌 .. but it's fine. It is actually really good just as it is.
Special mention to Kim Seung Beom's nose. I just couldn't take my eyes off his nose (in a good way🤣) it's like this absolutely perfect shaped nose and is like the perfect size, shape which makes him slay that side profile❤️ and also the killers... someone definitely had taste🤭🤭 cz all the killers were soo damn handsome
