Doctor Stranger is filled with Mystery, Turmoil and Hope

So far, I'm in love with this drama. I've been wanting to watch a Korean medical drama for a while now. There's a lot of interesting components to this show. I still have a lot of questions and am curious to see how the story continues to unfold. I'm sure there's a lot in the plot we have yet to discover. I like that there's some romance, but it is not the only focus. Everyone in the cast in performing so well including every last supporting cast member. With every episode, I'm gaining more respect for Lee Jong-Suk as an actor (who plays Dr. Park Hoon, a young doctor who grew up in North Korea). I knew he could act, but I find he's really shining in this drama. Kang So-Ra (who plays Dr. Oh Soo-Hyun) was really great in this episode. At first I wasn't sure about her character, but I feel we learned more about who she is in this episode. I'm very excited to see what happens next and how the relationships between the various doctors develop. Also, I have many questions I hope to find out the answers to.

Doctor Stranger Ep4 Review

I haven't seen that many Korean Dramas but judging from the ones I've seen so far, this drama has been.. in an entirely other league. I've seen City Hunter which was based on a slightly similar track but this drama has surpassed the level City Hunter set for me. This episode proved that yet again.

Really well acted and executed scenes, I was engrossed the entire time, for every second.

There were just the right amount of cliffhangers, and mysteries - not too much to annoy me and not too little to seem too predictable. But that's the thing, this drama maybe anything but it's not predictable.

They could have showed the surgery on Soo Hyun's mother to be a success in the end (against all odds) and made Park Hoon seem like an invincible hero, but they didn't. It gave such a humbling feel to see him fail, gave a realistic touch to his prodigal doctoral skills. I know it's horrendous of me to say that the death of a patient was a good thing but I'm just seeing the situation objectively.

Either way, a gripping episode deserves more than 10/10.
