Why Why Love (2007)

And we're back once again with my favorite trio! Kingone, Mike He, and Rainie Yang.
Now I will be honest and say that I started this drama because I watched Devil Beside You and wanted to see more of the chemistry between the main leads.
I am fully aware that the two have nothing to do with each other. That being said I still like Devil Beside You more.
I loved Why Why Love up until episode 11 and then I wanted to die. The twist in the story happened way to late in the drama to be effective. If they were going to use that twist then they should have done in earlier in the drama. So because of that I dropped this drama at episode 11. However, because I am a person who has to finish a drama once I start it. I trucked through it and finally came to the ending.
I will give this a solid 8 overall because I did enjoy it up until the last episodes. Will I ever watch it again? Probably not, unless I'm doing a Mike He marathon.
Since I did enjoy the drama for the most part, I recommend this to anyone!

Wahh...i gave it a full 10 since this was the best drama i`ve watched till now. Story - was great, i loved it how it went from the beginning to end, through sillines, anger, happiness, sadness, friendship, love and family bonds. it didn`t focused only on the main couple but more characters and that`s why it didn`t bring boredness. Acting/Cast - what more can i say? since it was the trio Mike - Rainie - Kingone i just fell in love with their acting. It was way better than "Devil Beside You". Mike and Rainie have the best chemistry going on ever, i never liked 2 lead characters so much, even though i saw other dramas with Rainie in main role if not with Mike it doesn`t fell right (i really wish to see more dramas with those 2 in main roles). One of the best parts of this drama was after the ending of more than a half of episodes there was making the scene, and got to see how they filmed some of the scenes and had fun together. What really surprised me was how Kingone was acting silly and had fun, i thought that he is more of a serious person but this part was better. Seeing them like that was very refreshing. So i`m going to stop now. I really love them so i still have more to say but i`ll dare you to watch it so you`ll see what i mean. Music - i liked it too and it fit in well. If you like this kind of dramas you better watch it if not you don`t know what you`ll miss.

Story- A romance drama with a touch of comedic/light moments to entertain you. The last couple of episodes are sad. The ending was short but sweet. Very touching drama.

Acting/Cast- Rainie & Mike He= beyond chemistry. The way they fight with each other is gold. Mike does great with his jealousy. He does pretty good when he has to be emotional. The supporting cast did great acting wise for a Taiwanese drama.

Music- Cool theme song. Otherwise average OST.

Overall- This drama has enough angst to keep you interested. A drama with Rainie & Mike He is a must watch. This drama also has a lot of similarities to Devil Beside you so if you loved that one you will surely like this.

First of all, I must mention that I'm a HUUUGE fan of Devil Beside You and I have watched it more than once. After watching it, Mike He instantly became one of my favorite Asian drama actors. As for Rainie Yang, although I found her really annoying her other dramas like Drunken to love you and ToGetHer, she was simply amazing in Devil Beside You. OK, now I'll stop talking about DBY since this is a review for Why why love :P

Why why love could be a reincarnation of characters from DBY. Or at least an unofficial sequel. It seemed like the makers had taken it upon themselves to cash onto the popularity of Mike-Rainie pairing post DBY and this drama was specifically written for that purpose. And it did not disappoint in that field. The chemistry between the lead pair was sizzling, especially since Mike He was once again a "Devil" in this drama.

Overall it was nice drama. But the story was extremely cliche. A devil boy with a kind heart, an older CEO brother with a boring personality, an unrequited first love in love with the older brother and (of course) a plain Jane damsel in distress. But I still liked it. It's the Mike He effect I guess. He can make a drama come to life with his killer smile ;)

First off, I felt the story was an interesting one, but it wasn't too good. The only time the story got good was during the last few episodes, which I believe should have either been the whole premise of the story, or was a bit more drawn out. The writing for the drama was pretty bad. There were overly drawn out monologues, and really cheesy lines. I thought that the acting was really mediocre, which wouldn't make since for Rainie and Mike He. I didn't like either of their characters, and their acting for those characters wasn't good at all. I felt like Mike He's character was just whining all the time, and Rainie's character just seemed unstable. I love the music, which was done by Kingone, and Rainie. The theme song was super catchy, and even though I didn't like Rainie's song, I found that I was humming along to it. I wouldn't rewatch this drama, because I was sitting there waiting for it to be over. Overall, I give it a 6. It's not a drama that is a must watch, but it's not too bad. It's something that's not bad to watch if you are really bored.

story - i like the plot of this story a lot! the characters are interesting and bold, while being sweet and reaching for your heart. this story makes you get mad at some characters, cry because of them, fall in love with them and be happy for them.



cast - this was my first taiwanese drama AND my first time seeing a Kingone/Rainie/Mike drama, but i really liked them! Mike is now one of my favorite actors of all time! he is really charming and can make anyone laugh. Rainie is too cute and great at her character(her crying looked true). Plus, the chemistry between Rainie and Mike was HUGE! they look really good for them.



music - i really liked it but, for me, it wasn't the best part of the drama.



rewatch value - i would rewatch it, but i think you don't need to, because every bit of the story stays in your brain forever.



overall - this drama made me want to see the other drama the three of them made! so now i'm definitely going to see 'devil beside you'! i think everyone should see this, it's a good one ('why why love', not 'devil beside you') ^^

This is one of those dramas for me, that you keep watching, knowing that there is no depth to it. Since I have invested time already in it midway, I was wanting a good ending or lets say happy or else I would have been furious at myself. The ending was quite satisfactory but really the plot sucks.

This is more a fantasy swept off your feet romance and the problems in the story just easily disappears or was solved. The plot is so unrealistic. So some reality check here. I do not like the lead actress and how she acts. So this is more of a shallow rom/com, trying to insert the drama. It wasn't worth the hours.

Love the show

I love the chemistry between Rainie Yang and Mike He. That's why I'm really looking forward to this show. And yes they didn't disappoint. I love how they act totally different from DBY to this. This one is more mature and more emotions. This show made me cry in so many scenes. There's too many touching scenes that I cannot help myself but cry. I love the storyline, the music, the characters, the artists on these show! For me this is one of the best Taiwanese Drama. The storyline revolves with family, friendship, love, and siblings. :) One thing that I just hate on this drama is Jang Xiao Nan, she is really an annoying friend!! But nonetheless, the show is really great! Didn't expect that this will be so good.

I hope to see more collaboration from Rainie Yang and Mike He. These two always have a great chemistry!!

Beautiful story told by 3 of my fave actors. Thank you again for a beautiful experience. Love the acting & watching the behind the scenes stuff made things even funnier b/c it makes u relize how normal every1 really is. I really enjoyed this drama and I know others that watch will too.



The only thing that I had probs w/ was the whole medical part at the end. I worked in the medical field for 6 yrs. If he had probs w/ his liver he would have had jaundice from lack of liver function. Also, if he and his bro were going to be in surgery then they would have been in a clean room for those 3 days b-4 they had the surgery. Mostly to protect his bro b/c of his current heart condition. Ok so fantacy does not always touch reality. But, they could have at least made it a little more realistic.



Everything else was amazing. I love how they allude to how his illnes is the reason for him being pissy (Mel for bad-tude) all the time.

So let me start with as to why I watch this series Mike He! I watch everything he’s in and bout oh boy he didn’t disappoint he was fantastic along with the other 2 main characters. The curly hair girl her acting was awful other then that all the other actors gets a positive from me. Story was pretty darn good, it had love, funny and oh the heartbreak you will cry a lot be worn. The ending was pretty good totally non expected. The music well it could have been better. Watch this series and tissues and be ready to laugh. I really enjoyed watching Why Why Love the characters worked well together and had great chemistry. The story line was interesting and didn't feel to rushed or to drawn out which left me wanting more. I thought the music was okay but it seemed to me to be mainly one song throughout the whole series and it would have been nice to hear a variety of songs. I loved the romance of this drama and enjoyed the funny bits and cried and shouted at my computer screen throughout the bad bits. I would have preferred the behind the scene clips and bloopers to have been shorter or separate from the series maybe like a bonus link as although they were cute and funny they seemed to go on for ages and in the end I started to skip them to get to the next part of the story.
