This lakorn is probably a guilty pleasure for most Thai Lakorn watchers with its typical good girl-bad boy, out of luck poor girl; player guy story line, and while my 13 year old self who watched it and genuinely liked it at that time, my now almost 20 year old self cannot say the same thing. Looking back, the lakorn was actually quite horrendous to say the least lmao. I apologize for my harsh vocabulary. But seriously, this drama is basically a Wattpad fanfiction with a Marysue OC and a bad boy main guy slapped into live action. I'm not even kidding, go see for yourself. It is one of those dramas that you cannot take seriously but you can't stop watching it. I hate myself for the fact that I enjoyed it too. It's quite entertaining and the things happening keeps you in circle, but not in a good way.

My biggest criticism though, goes out to our leading lady. We're supposed to feel bad for the main girl aka Rasa, but like man, I hated her so much throughout the whole drama. You can be nice to people, you don't want to be rude, but don't be stupid and let everyone step all over you. She was so goddamn weak and a huge pushover! This girl has no common sense I swear. Homegirl couldn't stand up for herself even if her life depended on it (which it did at some point). I mean I guess I felt a little bad at first but then when she just kept taking everyone's shit over and over again without defending herself, I was just done with it. Her character was just so unrealistic, over exaggerated, and the perfect epitome of what a Mary Sue is. Like she would breathe and every guy in the drama gets a boner (tbh Poo Praiya is gorgeous tho but still, it was too much). Every guy liked her. Not just every guy, but almost everyone besides the villains were at her feet ready to serve their queen. And the mean girls only hated her because they were jealous of how everyone preferred her to them, how she's close to p'ek. And all the bad guys wanted to rape her because she was hot. That's it. They either hate her because she's better than them or because they can't get her. Very one-dimensional character.

Main guy Akrin is an asshole that got off too light, do I need to say more?

What I did like though, was their chemistry. Even though this drama was all bad Thai drama cliches in one, their scenes together were pretty hot ngl, so I'll up the points for that. And I liked the opening song.

When I started watching this I was not sure I would even finish it, let alone review but I had to.
Guys this show is loud and screechy and full of OTT villians but OMG THE CHEMISTRY between the leads is fab. It takes major skipping at first but there is a strange hook that keeps u in place and doesn't let u switch off. Very cute slap/kisses ... The nice kind not the brutal rapey types while still having his naughty vibe. The background score and the leads are why this show worked for me.
The story is a guilty pleasure - playboy hero, will not show I am hurting heroine ... Sweet story. Worth a watch when u want some plushy drama.

Horrible yet Guilty Pleasure:)

This lakorn, english titled 'Bride For Money', was the 2nd lakorn I've ever watched:)

Though it can never measure up to the 1st one (which remains the number one not only due to watching order) I enjoyed this - guiltily, as it's absolute trash - mainly for the main guy (I liked him back then) and many real-kiss scenes (I then wished for even more of them, but then I watched dozens of more lakorns and learned how raaare those were).

What I was astonished with - as this was my very early meeting with thai (popular) culture - was the number of violent fights (even among seemingly distinguished adults), the need to sit directly on the floor when you are subordinate, and the soundtrack. Which wasn't original soundtrack even, but some low quality excerpts from Bourne, I think (I don't know how the thai deal with copyrights) + 1 thai song. Over and over. I can't consider this "music" so I give lowest score. But let's not focus on that:D

Despite all its flaws and total trashiness the ROMANCE LINE was done well and had a good progress, climax and ending and the interactions between main couple were enjoyable from start to finish. There was enough chemistry and humour between the two I MUST rate this high: because it is what is most important in a lakorn. And I have learned later (after watching more than 400 of them), that sadly, even just this is not achieved by most of the other lakorns......

The first time I watched this lakhorn I just did so because I had nothing to do and I was just getting into Asian Dramas. When you watch a lakhorn or a movie you basically know how it is going to end just not how they are going to get there.
Honestly, this was so cringe worthy, I skipped through most of it. What I hated the most was how weak the the female lead (Rasa) was. I mean, yes you are to be humble but not to the point where you let everyone step all over you. Things happen beyond your control and you are so 'humble' you don't try to explain yourself and let everyone have this false perception of who you are.
And the male lead..... He has women and girlfriends all over the place, even going so far as to sleep with them after he got married yet his family members don't see this as wrong but as soon as their is a hint of suspicion for Rasa (his wife) they hold a family meeting to criticize her and cast blame. And the fact that he saw it fit to have his girlfriend, who is still salty about the fact that he married someone else, be the supervisor over his new wife is downright stupid!! What did her think was going to happen...that his wife and girlfriend would sip tea then walk off into the sunset holding hands?????? Come on!!
Akrin (Male lead) had no definitive proof but he believed what everyone was saying about his wife until he finally slept with her and found out that they were all lies. I mean seriously!!!! Akrin (male lead) got away with his happy ending in the end. I seriously don't know which woman in their right mind would stay and deal with all the sh*t he put her though.
The plot of this lakhorn was so unrealistic it isn't even funny. All in all it wasn't a bad watch, just be prepared to curse at the laptop/phone/tv screen because of the sheer stupidity of some of the plot events in this drama.
