Kwak Shi Yang to appear in the upcoming episode of "Good Partner"
2 PM's Ok Taec Yeon and Girls Generation's Seo Hyun will possibly reunite in a new K-drama project.
On July 26, media outlets reported that Ok Taec Yeon and Seo Hyun got the offer to portray the main leads of the upcoming KBS K-drama The First Night With The Duke (working title). It was also stated that the two idol actors are positively reviewing the offer.
The First Night With The Duke is a romance fantasy K-drama that will be centered on the male and female protagonists unexpectedly transposed into the roles of minor characters in a novel. A passionate romantic relationship develops between the leads following a shared intimacy. The K-drama is set in the Joseon Dynasty. The story will be depicted from the web novel/webtoon of the same name by Hwang Do Tol.
According to reports, the K-drama will be broadcast on KBS. There is no official confirmation yet on the airing date of the romance fantasy series.
If Ok Taec Yeon and Seo Hyun confirm their casting, this will be their reunion project. While Ok Taecyeon and Seo Hyun haven’t shared the screen as co-stars in any K-dramas or movies, they do have a history of working together as members of 2 PM and Girls Generation, respectively.
For this year, Ok Taec Yeon is set to star in the upcoming K-drama Taereung Zombie Village. he will also join the Netflix series Soul Mate and will work alongside Japanese actor Isomura Hayato.
On the other hand, this will be the follow-up K-drama of Seo Hyun after the Netflix original series Song of the Bandits. Seo Hyun is known for being part of the K-dramas Jinxed at First, Private Lives, Time, Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo, and more.
