DEX who has conquered the entertainment scene will reportedly take on a new challenge, this time through acting!
On October 26, media outlets reported that DEX (Kim Jin Young) will be joining the upcoming webtoon-based K-drama titled iShopping.
A representative of DEX shared their official stance on the reports through media outlet OSEN. According to them, DEX received an offer to join iShopping and he is currently reviewing the offer. Nothing has been decided yet.
If DEX officially confirms his casting, this will be his debut in acting. DEX has been actively participating in several entertainment programs. He is also the main host of the popular YouTube program Dex's Fridge Interview where he talks with various celebrities.
DEX became more popular worldwide after being part of the dating reality show Single’s Inferno Season 2. Since then, he has starred in more entertainment programs. He made more people fall for his charms through the programs Adventure by Accident Season 2, Zombieverse, and more.
From being a participant, DEX will now be part of the main hosts for the upcoming Single’s Inferno Season 3 with Hong Jin Kyung, Lee Da Hee, Cho Kyu Hyun, and Jung Han Hae.
The upcoming K-drama iShopping will be helmed by director Oh Ki Hwan who also worked on the K-drama How to Be Thirty and films Fashion King, A Wedding Invitation, Five Senses of Eros, and more.
iShopping will base its story on the webtoon of the same name that was illustrated by Ryu Ga Myeong and written by Eom Se Yoon. It will revolve around revenge and the survival of children who were returned by their foster parents. It will focus on the story of the main lead Tae Sik who is part of the adoption broker organization. He will end up stealing the children who are getting returned to the organization.
There are no official details yet on the offered character that DEX received. Although it was not yet revealed, it is stated that DEX will be playing the role of a supporting character.
