Cho Kyu Hyun is a South Korean singer-songwriter, dancer, musical actor, host, and member of SUPER JUNIOR (슈퍼주니어). He graduated from Yeom Gwang High School and later obtained bachelor's and master's degrees in Postmodern Musicology, both from Kyung Hee University.

He was recruited in 2005 when SM Entertainment (SM엔터테인먼트) scouted him after placing 3rd in the CMB Youth ChinChin Festival. Lee Soo Man wanted to create a versatile group with members who had experience in different fields (acting, dancing, presenting, etc.). He based his idea on the Japanese girl group MORNING MOSUME (モーニング娘), who debuted in 1997 and established a successful rotation of their lineup since then. He called his new group, SUPER JUNIOR 05.

The group debuted in November 2005, but the idea of a rotational group was dropped when he was added to the lineup in May 2006 as the group's new main vocalist and maknae. He debuted with their single "U". Since then, SUPER JUNIOR has become one of the most successful K-Pop representatives, and their ability to excel in different areas of the entertainment industry forced a change in the way other companies prepared their trainees.

As part of SM's strategy to not limit the group's activities while certain members focused on their individual careers, several sub-groups have been created since 2006. He debuted in November 2006 as part of SUPER JUNIOR-K.R.Y (슈퍼주니어-K.R.Y) with their single "The One I Love", an OST for the MBC drama "Hyena". Then, in April 2008, he debuted as part of SUPER JUNIOR-M (슈퍼주니어-M), focused solely on the Chinese market, in April 2008 with the single "U" (Chinese version). In late 2010, he joined the project group S.M. THE BALLAD (에스엠 더 발라드), consisting of various artists under SM Entertainment. They debuted in November of that year with their first mini-album, "S.M. The Ballad Vol.1 – Miss You". The group returned in 2014, but he was not part of their second lineup.

He made his debut as a solo artist in November 2014 with the EP " At Gwanghwamun".

He enlisted for his mandatory service on May 25, 2017, and was discharged on May 7, 2019. After serving, he has been more involved in other areas, such as musical theater and appearing in variety shows.
