Disney+ is bringing the K-movies The Roundup: Punishment, its previous installments and Hijack 1971 to global fans on September 23 and 27, respectively.

The Roundup: Punishment follows the story of Monster Detective Ma Seok Do (Ma Dong Seok, aka Don Lee), chasing Baek Chang Ki (Kim Mu Yeol), a former mercenary leading a large-scale illegal online gambling organization, and IT genius Jang Dong Cheol (Lee Dong Hwi). 

The K-movie emerged as a box-office hit, surpassing 11 million moviegoers. All four installments of The Roundup series will be available to stream on the OTT. 

Another K-movie coming to the platform is Hijack 1971.

Hijack 1971 tells the story of people fighting for their lives in an extreme situation when a passenger plane is hijacked in the airspace of Korea in 1971. The K-movie stars Ha Jung WooSung Dong IlYeo Jin Goo, and Chae Soo Bin

At the time, the hijacker, Kim Sang Tae (23 years old at the time), threatened the pilot with a homemade bomb and demanded to defect to North Korea. Thanks to the courage and sacrifice of the crew, a major catastrophe was averted. The incident is also known as the Korean Air Fokker F27 hijacking attempt.

Actor Ha Jung Woo plays the role of Tae In, one of the pilots flying the hijacked plane. Yeo Jin Goo portrays Yong Dae, a passenger who hijacks the plane. Sung Dong Il plays Captain Gyu Sik, and Chae Soo Bin plays Ok Sun, a flight attendant.

The movie has drawn in a total of 1.77 million moviegoers in South Korea and, at one point, topped the box office in Taiwan upon its release.
