Jang So Yeon is confirmed to star alongside Wi Ha Joon and Jung Ryeo Won in a new K-drama
Go Youn Jung will reportedly work with the Hong Sisters for the second time.
On September 21, several media outlets reported that Go Youn Jung will be pairing up with Kim Seon Ho in the upcoming K-drama Can You Translate This Love? Han So Hee was previously reported to be the female lead.
Go Youn Jung's agency MAA management responded to the casting news. According to them, "Go Youn Jung did receive the proposal to star in the new series and she is currently reviewing it."
Can You Translate This Love? is the next work of the popular screenwriters Hong Jung Eun and Hong Mi Ran also known as the Hong Sisters. They are the makers of the hit K-dramas Hotel del Luna, A Korean Odyssey, The Master's Sun, My Girlfriend Is a Gumiho and more. The upcoming series will be helmed by director Yoo Young Eun (Bloody Heart).
The upcoming romantic comedy K-drama will revolve around a woman whose job is as an interpreter and a top actor. Because they have polar opposite understandings of love, they will repeatedly misunderstand each other as their intentions get lost in translation.
Kim Seon Ho received the offer to play the male lead role and is positively reviewing it.
There is no official confirmation yet on the broadcast date and channel of Can You Translate This Love?
If Go Youn Jung decided to join Can You Translate This Love? this will be her second time as the muse of the Hong Sisters. They previously worked together through the 2022 K-dramas Alchemy of Souls and Alchemy of Souls Season 2: Light and Shadow.
After gaining more fame through the hit Disney+ original K-drama Moving, Go Youn Jung is set to challenge another genre. The actress was recently confirmed to lead the spin-off of the 2020 hit K-drama Hospital Playlist.
Go Youn Jung will also make a special cameo appearance in the upcoming JTBC K-drama Death's Game led by Seo In Guk, Park So Dam, Kim Ji Hoon, Kim Jae Wook, Lee Do Hyun, and more.
