TWICE's Kim Da Hyun confirmed to make her acting debut!
Han Ji Eun will reportedly join hands with NU'EST Hwang Min Hyun in the upcoming webtoon-based K-drama Study Group.
On June 7, various media outlets shared that Han Ji Eun has been picked to work alongside Hwang Min Hyun in the upcoming TVING K-drama Study Group.
Han Ji Eun's agency Secret ENT responded to the casting reports. According to the agency, Han Ji Eun did receive the offer to star in Study Group and she is positively reviewing it."
If Han Ji Eun confirms her casting, this will be her first K-drama for 2023. The actress recently finished filming for the upcoming 2024 K-drama When the Stars Gossip led by Gong Hyo Jin, Lee Min Ho, Oh Jung Se, Kim Joo Heon, and Lee El.
Han Ji Eun will also star in the upcoming movies Moradong and Only God Knows Everything.
The actress is known for being part of the K-dramas Stock Struck, Bad and Crazy, Lovestruck in the City, Kkondae Intern, Be Melodramatic, 100 Days My Prince, and more.
The upcoming K-drama Study Group will revolve around student Yoon Ga Min who wants to be good at studying but lacks the skills for it. Instead, he has the skills in fighting. He then decided to create a study group at the worst school on earth. The K-drama will also showcase the bloody entrance examination of college students. The story will be based on the popular webtoon with the same name.
Hwang Min Hyun first got the offer to lead the K-drama. His agency stated that the idol actor is also positively considering starring in the series.
Meanwhile, Han Ji Eun got the offer to play the role of Lee Han Kyung, the tutor of Yoon Ga Min. Lee Han Kyung will be the tutor of Yoon Ga Min for his college entrance examination. Later on, she became a fixed teacher for Yuseong Public Notice and will reunite with Yoon Ga Min.
Study Group will reportedly premiere within the year.
