Jang Hyuk to star in a new action-packed movie!

On June 8th, it was announced that Jang Hyuk will lead the upcoming movie "A Child Who Can Die." For this project, he will reunite with director Choi Jae Hoo whom he first worked with in the 2020 film "The Swordsman." Jang Hyuk's agency Sidus HQ confirmed the news about his casting. 

Based on the novel of the same name written by Bang Jin Ho, "A Child Who Can Die" will narrate the life of a retired killer who was accused of a crime he didn't commit for having used violence to protect a middle school girl.

Jang Hyuk will portray the role of Bang Ui Gang, a professional killer who retired from his brutal career to enjoy a free and peaceful life. 

"A Child Who Can Die" is scheduled to begin filming this June. Premiere date and other cast are yet to be announced. 

Jang Hyuk will also take part in the upcoming film "Tomb of the River" with Yoo Oh Sung, Han Sun Hwa, Kim Tae Han, Park Sung Geun, and Oh Dae Hwan. In 2020, he was the main lead for the movie "The Swordsman" with Jung Man Shik, Joe Taslim, Kim Hyun Soo, Choi Jin Ho, and Jang Hyun Sung. He previously starred in movies such as "Ordinary Person," "IRIS 2: The Movie," "The Flu," "Windstruck," and many more. 

He will also reportedly lead the upcoming KBS drama "Red Single Heart" together with MBLAQ's Lee Joon. Jang Hyuk last appeared in the small screen in 2020 through the drama "Tell Me What You Saw" with Girls' Generation Choi Soo Young, Jin Seo Yun, Jang Hyun Sung, Ryu Seung Soo, and more.
