Jin Ki Joo has been added to the official cast lineup of the upcoming star-studded k-drama Uncle Samsik.
On February 13, it was officially confirmed that Jin Ki Joo will be part of the upcoming k-drama Uncle Samsik. She will be added to the cast of the series and will work alongside Song Kang Ho, Byun Yo Han, Lee Kyu Hyung, and Seo Hyun Woo.
This will be the second upcoming drama project of Jin Ki Joo for the year. The actress is also set to star in the upcoming k-drama "Run Into You" with Kim Dong Wook, Seo Ji Hye, Lee Won Jung, Lee Ji Hyun, and Lee Kyu Hoe.
Last year, Jin Ki Joo led the k-drama "From Now On, Showtime!" with Park Hae Jin, Jung Joon Ho, Go Gyu Pil, Jung Suk Yong, and Park Seo Yeon.
Jin Ki Joo made her acting debut in 2015. Since then, the actress has been very active in k-drama land. She has starred in several k-dramas such as "Twenty Again," "The Good Wife," "Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo," "Wednesday 3:30 PM," "Misty," "Come and Hug Me," "The Secret Life of My Secretary," "Homemade Love Story," "Sh**ting Stars," and more.
The actress is also set to join the upcoming movie "The Land of Happiness" with Jo Jung Suk, Yoo Jae Myung, Lee Sun Kyun, Kang Mal Geum, and Choi Won Young.
Many are already anticipating the next project of Jin Ki Joo.
"Uncle Samsik" will be helmed by director Shin Yeon Shick who also created the films "Cassiopeia" and "One Win."
The upcoming series will be about the journey of two men with a strong bromance named Samsik and Kim San. It will showcase the happenings they experience during turbulent times in the early 1960s.
This will be Song Kang Ho's first k-drama despite debuting over 20 years ago! The actor has only appeared in movies since 1996.
In the upcoming k-drama, Jin Ki Joo will play the role of Ju Yeo Jin. She is a wise and elite woman who will be Kim San's lover, the character portrayed by Byun Yo Han.
According to reports, Uncle Samsik will have a total of 10 episodes. There are no official details yet on when the upcoming k-drama will premiere.
