The release date of the K-movie The Informal Operation, starring Ha Jung Woo and Joo Ji Hoon, has been announced. The political drama movie is set to premiere on August 2. 

The film follows the story of a diplomat who left for Lebanon to rescue a missing colleague and a local taxi driver pairing up with him to solve the case.

Ha Jung Woo will be seen as Min Joon, a fearless diplomat who faces danger with confidence. Joo Ji Hoon takes on the role of Pan Su, a skilled taxi driver fluent in the local language with a penchant for scams.

The chemistry between the two actors, previously seen in the Along With the Gods: The Two Worlds series, heightens anticipation for the film.

Directed by Kim Sung Hoon, known for his works like the Kingdom series and TunnelThe Informal Operation promises a captivating plot with unique characters to keep you seated throughout the movie.

The release date of The Informal Operation sets the stage for a cut-throat competition at the box office. The sci-fi film The Moon, directed by Kim Yong Hwa and featuring Sol Kyung Gu and Doh Kyung Soo in lead roles, will also be released on the same day, making way for a head-to-head showdown.

Furthermore, August will witness the release of other highly anticipated films, including the disaster movie Concrete Utopia, directed by Uhm Tae Hwa and starring Lee Byung HunPark Bo Young, and Park Seo Joon.

Whereas, Director Ryu Seung Wan's action-packed period film Smugglers is scheduled to hit theaters on July 26. The film has a star-studded cast which includes Kim Hye SooYeom Jung AhZo In Sung, and Park Jung Min
