The 32nd Buil Film Awards took place in Busan on October 5. Actress Esom was the solo host for the event.

Lee Byung Hun, who starred in the film Concrete Utopia, and Kim Seo Hyung in Vinyl House received the Best Leading Actor and Best Leading Actress awards respectively. It is the third time Lee Byung Hun received the Best Leading Actor award at the Buil Film Awards.

The Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress awards went to Kim Jong Soo and Go Min Si, respectively, for Smugglers. The Best New Actor and Best New Actress awards were given to Kim Seon Ho for The Childe and Kim Shi Eun for Next Sohee. Female Star of the Year and Male Star of the Year Awards went to Park Bo Young for Concrete Utopia and Doh Kyung Soo (EXO's D.O.) for The Moon.

Concrete Utopia was awarded the Best Film. The K-movie secured four awards, including Best Actor, Female Star of the Year Award, and Cinematography.

The Buil Film Awards are South Korea's first film awards, established in 1958. After a hiatus in 1973, they made a comeback in 2008 and have continued for 16 years.
