After starring in Delightfully Deceitful, Kim Tae Hoon is set to appear in a new K-Drama a month after.
On July 21st, it was officially confirmed that Kim Tae Hoon would be added to the cast of the upcoming historical romance K-drama My Dearest.
Kim Tae Hoon's agency El Julai Entertainment confirmed the reports and also relayed the message of the actor as he got cast in the upcoming K-drama. The actor stated, "Acting a character that was part of history is always a heavy responsibility and difficult thing to do but I will do my best to be natural and express the character's traits in this upcoming drama. Please look forward to it."
The actor starred in the recently ended K-drama Delightfully Deceitful led by Chun Woo Hee, Kim Dong Wook, Yoon Park, Park So Jin, Lee Yeon, and Hong Seung Bum.
He also appeared in the Netflix original K-drama Queenmaker which also aired early this year.
Aside from K-dramas, Kim Tae Hoon will also join the upcoming movie Taste of Horror with Park So Yi, Yoo Da In, Yoon Hyun Min, Jang Gwang, Lee Joo Young, and Kim Joo Ryoung.
My Dearest will be the next work of director Kim Sung Yong (The Veil) and writer Hwang Jin Young (The King's Daughter, Soo Baek Hyang, and Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People).
The K-drama will revolve around a noblewoman and a mysterious man set in Joseon during the Qing invasion, known in Korean as Byeongja Horan.
It will be led by Namkoong Min, Ahn Eun Jin, Lee Hak Joo, Lee Da In, Kim Yoon Woo, and Kim Seo An.
In the series, Kim Tae Hoon will give life to the character named Choi Myung Gil. He is a loyalist whose topmost priority is the national interests. He is also a person who does not bend his decision.
My Dearest will air its first episode on August 4th at 9:50 PM KST. The historical K-drama will exclusively air on MBC.
