Ahead of the K-drama's release, new still-cuts of Black Knight have been unveiled featuring Kim Woo BinSong Seung HeonKang Yoo Seok, and Esom

The first still shows Kim Woo Bin wearing a uniform with a cap with the number 5-8 (the code name assigned to him), standing with some men, who all seem knights who deliver oxygen and supplies to people. He intently stares at the person in front of him. The following stills show Song Seung Heon, Kang Yoo Seok, and Esom wearing masks when outside the facility, indicating the high levels of air toxicity of the era they live in.

In the second series of cuts, Kim Woo Bin is seen aiming at his target with his gun, Song Seung Heon appears wearing a black suit and standing in a lavish hallway while lost in thought, Kang Yoo Seok is portrayed in a scruffy condition with shaggy hair, and Esom is seen in a military uniform with short hair cut having eyes filled with emotions and a serious expression on her face. She plays the role of military intelligence officer Seol Ah.

Kang Yoo Seok acts the part of the refugee April, and Song Seung Heon will be seen as Ryu Seok - the only heir of Chunmyeong Group.

Black Knight is set in the year 2071, when the toxic air pollution has taken lives, leaving only 1% of the population to survive on what is now a wasteland. Their only life support are parcels - containing necessities - delivered by delivery drivers, known as knights.

The sci-fi drama is based on a webcomic Taekbaegisa by Lee Yoon Kyun. Cho Ui Seok is credited for directing and writing the screenplay of Black Knight.
