Kwon Yool and Park Se Young will be added to the cast of the upcoming "Mental Coach Je Gal Gil."
On January 21st, media outlets shared that Kwon Yool and Park Se Young are officially joining the upcoming drama "Mental Coach Je Gal Gil."
"Mental Coach Je Gal Gil" will be about a former athlete who was forced to quit because of an accident. After this, he became the helping hand of those who falls into slumps together with retired masters. The drama will be directed by Son Jung Hyun ("When My Love Blooms") and written by Kim Ban Di ("Special Labor Inspector Jo").
Kwon Yool will play the role of Goo Tae Man. He's a former Taekwondo Olympic gold medalist and the head of the sports association's human rights center. Park Se Young on the other hand will play as Park Seung Ha the psychological support person at the athletes' village.
Other cast members of the drama are Jung Woo and Lee Yoo Mi.
"Mental Coach Je Gal Gil" will reportedly air this year. The production team is still finalizing the casting of the drama.
In 2021, Kwon Yool starred in the KBS drama "Dali and the Cocky Prince" with Park Gyu Young, Kim Min Jae, former Momoland's Yeonwoo, Hwang Hee, and Woo Hee Jin. For this year, the actor will be busy with several upcoming dramas such as "No, Thank You Season 2," "Mental Coach Je Gal Gil," and "Queen Maker." Kwon Yool was also part of the recently released film "The Policeman's Lineage" starring Jo Jin Woong, Choi Woo Shik, and Lee Hyun Wook.
Meanwhile, this drama will be Park Se Young's comeback to the small screen after three years. She was last seen in the 2019 drama "Special Labor Inspector Jo" with Kim Dong Wook, Kim Kyung Nam, Ryu Deok Hwan, Seol In Ah, and Oh Dae Hwan. The actress will also join the movie "Stellar."
