Disney+ has unveiled its K-drama lineup for 2024.
Following the success of Moving and The Worst of Evil, Disney+ is amping up investments in Korean content. To give a glimpse of what's in store for viewers in 2024, the streaming service has unveiled a lineup of its upcoming K-dramas.
Let's take a look at some of the shows that will be gracing our screens this year.
Since its premiere in January, Lee Dong Wook and Kim Hye Joon's A Shop for Killers has received enthusiastic responses from both domestic and international viewers and critics.
Following this, The Impossible Heir, featuring Lee Jae Wook, Lee Jun Young, and Hong Su Zu, is set to premiere on February 28. The K-drama tells the story of desperate people trying to acquire the throne of the top conglomerate of South Korea.
Moreover, anticipation is high for the sci-fi thriller Blood Free, featuring actors Ju Ji Hoon and Han Hyo Joo.
Additionally, Uncle Samsik, set against the backdrop of the chaotic era of the 1960s, and featuring Song Kang Ho, Byun Yo Han, Lee Kyu Hyung, and Jin Ki Joo, is also slated for release this year.
Next in line is Disney+'s original variety show, The Zone: Survival Mission Season 3, led by Yoo Jae Suk and Kwon Yu Ri, Kim Dong Hyun and DEX.
Among the highly anticipated productions are Tyrant — a chase thriller by The Witch director Park Hoon Jung featuring Cha Seung Won, Kim Seon Ho, and Kim Kang Woo; and Trigger, a crime drama featuring Kim Hye Soo and Jung Sung Il.
Moreover, Moving fans are looking forward to writer Kang Full's Light Shop, starring Ju Ji Hoon, Park Bo Young, Bae Sung Woo, and Uhm Tae Go, among others.
Not to be missed also are the K-dramas by domestic productions streaming on Disney+.
Following the conclusion of FlexxCop, starring Ahn Bo Hyun and Park Ji Hyun, Wonderful World, starring Kim Nam Joo and Cha Eun Woo, will premiere in March.
Moreover, Lee Je Hoon-led Chief Detective 1958 will also be available to stream on Disney+.
