Project Silence, starring the late actor Lee Sun Kyun, Ju Ji Hoon, and Kim Hee Won is gearing up for release.
CJ ENM stated to JoyNews24 on May 16, "A July release is likely," and more news is yet to come about the exact release date.
Project Silence is a film about people stranded on the foggy Gonghang Bridge, which is on the verge of collapse. They struggle desperately to survive the unexpected dangers lurking around them.
Lee Sun Kyun played the role of Cha Jung Won, a presidential aide trapped on the airport bridge with his daughter.
Last year, Project Silence was officially invited to the Midnight Screenings section of the 76th Cannes Film Festival, and director Kim Tae Gon, along with Lee Sun Kyun, Ju Ji Hoon, and Kim Hee Won walked the red carpet.
With the sad news of Lee Sun Kyun's passing, Project Silence's theatrical release was delayed, and after multiple discussions, CJ ENM decided on a July 2024 release.
Lee Sun Kyun's other posthumous movie is The Land of Happiness, in which the late actor starred alongside the Hospital Playlist fame Jo Jung Suk. The Land of Happiness is scheduled to premiere in August.
