Hwang In Youp will make a cameo appearance in Kim You Jung's new K-drama "Dear. X"
The upcoming sequel to the movie Concrete Utopia will reportedly premiere on Netflix next year.
On November 1, industry insiders revealed that the upcoming movie The Wilderness starring Ma Dong Seok, Lee Jun Young, and Roh Jeong Eui will be released worldwide on Netflix this coming January.
According to reports, the film will be a Netflix original and it will premiere on January 26, 2024.
The Wilderness shares the worldview of the film Concrete Utopia led by Lee Byung Hun, Park Seo Joon, Park Bo Young, Kim Sun Young, Park Ji Hu, and Kim Do Yoon. The upcoming film will depict the story from the webtoon titled Happy Boy by Kim Soong Nyoong.
It will reveal the happenings after a global earthquake occurred and it ruined the world where there's no electricity, water, and there's a shortage of food. It will also reveal the danger of the threat of looters and killers. The movie will also showcase the stories of people who want to rescue those people who dream of a new humanity.
The Wilderness will be directed by Heo Myung Haeng who also participated in the films The Roundup: No Way Out, Jung_E, Perfect Number, River of Murder, and more. This will be his first-ever directorial film.
Aside from Ma Dong Seok, Lee Jun Young, and Roh Jeong Eui, actors Lee Hee Joon and Kim Young Sun will also join the film.
The Wilderness will be produced by Climax Studios and Lotte Entertainment.
This upcoming film will be the first project of Ma Dong Seok for 2024. After this movie, the top actor will return to the new season of The Roundup: Punishment. He will be working alongside Kim Mu Yeol, Lee Dong Hwi, Lee Bum Soo, Kim Min Jae, and Lee Ji Hoon.
Ma Dong Seok is also expected to lead the upcoming films Along With the Gods 3, Holy Night: Demon Hunters, and Along With the Gods 4.
