No Sang Bo confirmed to star in the Disney+ original K-drama "Uncle Samsik"
Actors Choi Won Young, Son Yeo Eun, Choi Dae Chul, and Han Chae Ah will be added to the cast lineup of the upcoming MBC drama "The Golden Spoon."
It was announced on February 22nd that Choi Won Young, Son Yeo Eun, Choi Dae Chul, and Han Chae Ah will be added to the lineup to act as parents of the male leads.
"The Golden Spoon" is based on a webtoon of the same name by HD3. The drama will tell the story of a boy who got the chance to change his fate because of a golden spoon. From being in a poor family, he switched his life to his rich friend's family. The upcoming series will be directed by Song Hyun Wook ("The King's Affection" and "Undercover") and written by Kim Eun Hee and Yoon Eun Kyung ("Prime Minister and I" "My Fair Lady," and "Winter Sonata").
BTOB's Yook Sung Jae, DIA's Jung Chae Yeon, Lee Jong Won, and former MOMOLAND Yeonwoo are already confirmed to lead the drama.
"The Golden Spoon" is set to premiere in the second half of 2022. The drama will air after "Doctor Lawyer" ends.
Choi Won Young will play the role of Hwang Hyun Do. He is the father of Hwang Tae Yong (Lee Jong Won's character). He is the chairman of Doshin Group. He is known as fair, reasonable, and cool with everything but his true identity is that he will do anything for money.
Son Yeo Eun will play as Seo Young Shin, Hwang Tae Yong's stepmother. She married Hwang Hyun Do only for his money. She has her plans on dominating the company but she's struggling because of his husband and stepson.
Choi Dae Chul on the other hand will play as Lee Cheol, the father of Lee Seung Cheon (Yook Sung Jae's character). He is a former scriptwriter of comic books. He is challenging himself now to be a webtoon writer. He wants to revive the reputation of cartoonists when he becomes a successful webtoon writer but the reality is different.
Lastly, Han Chae Ah will play the role of Lee Seung Cheon's mother named Jin Sun Hye. She married Lee Cheol because of his innocence and passion for his job. Now, she's all in to support the dream of his son.
