Nam Joo Hyuk will reportedly be the main lead of the upcoming drama "Vigilante."

On April 20th several media outlets reported that Nam Joo Hyuk was chosen to be the lead of the upcoming webtoon-based thriller drama "Vigilante." 

Nam Joo Hyuk's agency SOOP Entertainment responded to the circulating news, stating that the actor did receive the offer but still has it under review.

"Vigilante" will be based on a Naver webtoon of the same name by Kim Kyu Sam. The series will narrate the story of a dark hero who hunts down criminals on the weekends. 

Nam Joo Hyuk got the offer to portray the role of Kim Ji Yong, a student at a police college. He lost his mother because of a local gangster when he was young. He decided to become part of the police force to find his parents' enemies and punish criminals. 

"Vigilante" will reportedly be released through an OTT platform. Other casts and broadcast details are yet to be revealed.

If Nam Joo Hyuk confirms his casting, this will be his follow-up drama after the hit tvN series "Twenty-Five Twenty-One" with Kim Tae Ri, Cosmic Girls Bona, Choi Hyun Wook, Lee Joo Myung, and Seo Jae Hee. The actor will also join the upcoming film "Remember" together with Lee Sung Min, Park Min I, Jung Man Shik, Koo Ja Keon, Lee Woo Joo, and more. 

Nam Joo Hyuk made his acting debut in 2014. He became known after starring in the dramas "Who Are You: School 2015," "Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo," and "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo." 

After starring in "The Light in Your Eyes," his acting skills have been recognized by the public. Many praised the actor for his performance in the drama. Since then, all his dramas have been hits such as "Start-Up" and "Twenty-Five, Twenty-One."
