Meet Yeo Jin Goo as Eun Gye Hoon

"Eun Gye Hoon, is a Michelin-starred chef who is flawless with his distinguished cooking skills and handsome face. Always expressing his opinions clearly, Eun Gye Hoon maintains an attitude of indifference to everything, so he often hears that he is like an emotionless robot. since he strongly believes that personal feelings should not be allowed in the kitchen. Out of the blue, one day he begins to cry alone, but also suddenly bursting into laughter and applause, surprising his co-workers. Due to this, Eun Gye Hoon has earned the nickname of “Teary chef,” but no one knows the reason why this link phenomenon occurs again for the first time after 18 years." (Photos from series and information source: Soompi)

Details on how this actor prepared for his role, are found in the next paragraph:

The reason why he chose this particular story was revealed by Yeo Jin Goo, himself “The atmosphere made up of the strengths of various genres, such as romantic comedy, mystery, cooking, and drama, was attractive, and I decided to star in ‘Link’ because of the specialty and novelty of the character Eun Gye Hoon.”

Mentioning he encountered some obstacles while portraying this character, he continued to explain, saying, “I thought it was hard to approach this character’s special nature where he’s able to feel other people’s emotions, but at the same time, I was interested in what kind of life he’s living. The link phenomenon is a very important factor for Eun Gye Hoon and the drama, so I talked a lot with the director and the writer while preparing for the shoot. I am trying to be flexibly expressive so that I can use the link phenomenon organically from comedy to deep drama in the flow of the drama.” Lastly he added ,“Although cooking is my hobby, this role is a person who is a professional chef. Because of this, I got help from the real chef to to realistically portray the way I cut, how I handle the pan, how I look in the kitchen, and the atmosphere of the restaurant.”  (Photo from series and information source: here) |  (2nd picture source: pxhere)

Meet  Moon Ga Young as Noh Da Hyun

"Noh Da Hyun works as a probationary employee at of Jihwa Western Cuisine Restaurant. She self-proclaims that she has no luck with men, and she struggles with some truly unfortunate events in her life. Although she looks stunning and graceful, catching the eyes of fans with her bright smile, Noh Da Hyun is a good person who never hurts others, but she always endures difficulties with a bright expression because she believes that one receives blessings when they smile. She also can exude a very different atmosphere with her forlorn expression and hands in her pockets, hinting that youth isn’t easy." (Photo from series and information source: here) | (2nd picture source: pxhere)

Moon Ga Young mentioned a few interesting details, as she revealed that her first impression of Noh Da Hyun was to feel proud of her, explaining, “I felt sorry for the way she kept going and didn’t let go of herself despite experiencing various incidents, but I wanted to encourage her even more. She has experienced many situations and met diverse people, and she’s a figure with a lot of secrets. She matures and changes as she faces those situations and gets influenced by them. In order for the viewers to follow along with that flow well, I’m thinking over it a lot with the director to perfect it.”

Don’t ever like me.

“Why is this woman’s heart always racing and anxious? It’s so frustrating!

If you’re not just being friendly or sympathetic, and you don’t have feelings for me, then what in the world is it?

Even if I’m nice to you, don’t ever start liking me, no matter what.”  (Translation source: Soompi)

From suspense, all the way to romance:
