Rookie actor Kim Ki Hae will lead the upcoming TVING K-drama Duty After School.
It was officially confirmed on March 13 that Kim Ki Hae will be one of the main leads of the upcoming action sci-fi K-drama Duty After School.
Kim Ki Hae will join Shin Hyun Soo, Im Se Mi, Lee Soon Won, Choi Moon Hee, Kim Su Gyeom, and more.
Duty After School will base its story on a webtoon of the same name by Ha Il Kwon. The K-drama will unfold as high school seniors will fight against the attacks by unknown creatures that covered the sky to gain extra points ahead of their SAT.
The upcoming K-drama will be the next work of director Sung Yong Il ( Class of Lies) and writer Lee Nam Gyu (The Light in Your Eyes). It will be produced by Studio Dragon and G-tist.
Kim Ki Hae will portray the role of Kim Chi Yeol, an ordinary student with zero presence. He is not outstanding in anything. He also doesn't have a dream or doesn't have a choice yet on where university he will attend. He is timid and introverted.
Duty After School will officially premiere on March 31. It will exclusively air on TVING.
This will be the second upcoming K-drama of Kim Ki Hae for the year. The rising actor will also join the upcoming series The Secret Romantic Guesthouse with Shin Ye Eun, Ryeoun, Kang Hoon, Jung Gun Joo, Hyun Woo, and Oh Man Suk.
Kim Ki Hae is known for being a monster rookie. His debut movie is The Witch: Part 2. The Other One garnered over 1 million viewers. Many are already anticipating his next works.
Last year, he was also praised for starring in the KBS Drama Special Season 13: Self-Indulgence wherein he played the role of a dark hero who punishes evil with his superpowers.
