Jang So Yeon is confirmed to star alongside Wi Ha Joon and Jung Ryeo Won in a new K-drama
Ryu Hye Young is currently in discussion to join the upcoming SBS k-drama The Good Man.
According to industry insiders on March 3, Ryu Hye Young will be working with Lee Dong Wook in the upcoming thriller romance k-drama The Good Man. The two will reportedly work as siblings in the series.
Ryu Hye Young's agency King Kong by Starship responded to the casting reports. The agency revealed that Ryu Hye Young is positively reviewing to star in the upcoming k-drama The Good Man. Nothing has been decided yet. Both Lee Dong Wook and Ryu Hye Young are under King Kong by Starship.
If Ryu Hye Young confirms her casting, this will be her second time working with Lee Dong Wook. The two participated in the entertainment program The Game Caterers Season 2 in 2022.
Many are already anticipating the next projects of Ryu Hye Young as she has accumulated solid filmography such as Reply 1988, Dear My Room, Law School, Fatal Intuition, and more.
Ryu Hye Young made her acting debut in 2007. She has starred in several films and k-dramas. Aside from The Good Man, she will also join the upcoming series When the Day Breaks with Han Seok Kyu, Jung Yu Mi, Yeom Hye Ran, Kim Joon Han, and Lee Hee Joon.
Good Man will tell the story of a 3 generation gangster clan. It will focus on the story of Seok Cheol who is the eldest son of a three-generation gangster family. He will do everything to protect his family, work, and love.
The upcoming k-drama will be directed by Song Hae Sung (A Better Tomorrow and Maundy Thursday) and written by Kim Woon Kyung (Yoo Na's Street and Cooking up Romance).
Ryu Hye Young got the offer to play the role of the younger sister of Seok Cheol (Lee Dong Wook's character) named Park Seok Hee. She is an upright person and a reliable sister and daughter.
Good Man will reportedly premiere within the year and it will exclusively air on SBS.
