Song Kang Ho's upcoming debut K-drama will reportedly be released on a global OTT platform.

According to an exclusive report from media outlet OSEN on November 21, the upcoming K-drama Uncle Samsik will be released through the global OTT platform Disney+. Although there is no signed contract yet, it is said that the drama can't be broadcast on national or cable channels. It was also revealed that the upcoming K-drama will have a 40 billion won (approx. $30,950,892) budget for its production. 

Uncle Samsik will be Song Kang Ho's first time leading a K-drama since his debut. After 33 years, the top actor has decided to appear on the small screen. This will also possibly be Song Kang Ho's first-ever project with Disney+. 

For this year, Song Kang Ho led the movie Cobweb with Im Soo Jung, Oh Jung Se, Jeon Yeo Been, Krystal Jung, and Park Jung Soo

Song Kang Ho is also expected to star in the upcoming film One Win with Park Jung Min, Lee Joo Young, Lee Min Ji, Jang Yoon Ju, and Park Myung Hoon.

The top actor is known for leading the hit films Emergency Declaration, BrokerParasiteThe Drug KingA Taxi DriverThe AttorneySnowpiercer, and more.

Uncle Samsik will tell the story and journey of two men named Uncle Samsik and Kim San who faced turbulent times in the early 1960s. 

The upcoming K-drama will be led by Song Kang Ho, Byun Yo Han, Jin Ki Joo, Lee Kyu Hyung, Seo Hyun Woo, and Oh Seung Hoon

Uncle Samsik was originally scheduled to premiere before 2023 ends but the airing got delayed and it will officially be broadcast next year. The K-drama will have a total of 10 episodes.
