Kim Hee Sun Faces a Bitter Truth in Teaser for "Bittersweet Hell"
Along with the confirmation of the release date, the poster and teaser for the upcoming space movie The Moon have been unveiled.
The film tells the story of space officer Hwang Seon Woo, who is stranded alone on the moon after encountering an accident during South Korea's first manned lunar exploration mission. Striving to rescue him is former space center director Kim Jae Guk.
Idol and actor Doh Kyung Soo plays Hwang Seon Woo - a space crew member alone in space over 384,000 km away, while Sol Kyung Gu plays Kim Jae Guk. Kim Hee Ae is also cast in the movie as Moon Young Eun, the director of the NASA space station.
The movie is directed by Kim Yong Hwa, famous for his work in Along With the Gods: The Two Worlds and Along With the Gods 2: The Last 49 Days.
The poster showcases the eerie yet captivating Moon and Seon Woo standing alone on its surface, making history as South Korea's first astronaut to set foot on the lunar landscape. The teaser trailer features Seon Woo's distress call for rescue, echoing through the vastness of space, leaving audiences on edge about how he will survive.
The Moon will be released on August 2.
