Netflix original The Bequeathed has confirmed its release for January 19 and unveiled a teaser and a poster.
The Bequeathed tells the story of Yoon Seo Ha (Kim Hyun Joo), who inherits the family's gravesite from her late uncle. From then on, she experiences mysterious incidents, which Detective Choi Seong Jun (Park Hee Soon) suspects to be linked to the gravesite.
Yeon Sang Ho, celebrated for hits like Train to Busan, Hellbound and Psychokinesis, is directing and penning the script of the K-drama.
This series marks the directorial debut of Min Hong Nam, who has collaborated extensively with director Yeon Sang Ho as an assistant director in Train to Busan, Psychokinesis, and Peninsula.
The teaser poster captures a grim scene that suggests a death has taken place. The dead body outline, the police car standing behind it, the huge mountains, and the eerie old tree give a haunting ambience.
