Jung Yi Rang to work alongside Super Junior's Choi Si Won and Jung In Sun in "DNA Lovers"
Woo Do Hwan and WJSN Bona (Kim Ji Yeon) will reportedly work together in a new webtoon-based drama!
On May 10th, several media outlets reported that Woo Do Hwan and Bona was chosen to be the main leads of the upcoming series "Joseon Lawyer."
Woo Do Hwan's agency KeyEast stated that the actor is positively considering the offer. Meanwhile, Bona's agency King Kong by Starship shared that it is true that the drama was offered to Bona and she is currently reviewing it.
"Joseon Lawyer" will be based on a webtoon of the same name. It is a romantic historical drama that will revolve around Kang Han Soo, a self-righteous lawyer who eventually became the hero of the people.
The upcoming series will be directed by Jung Ho Rak and Kim Seung. The script will be written by Choi Jin Young.
Woo Do Hwan will reportedly play the role of Kang Han Soo, the best lawyer in Hanyang. He is known for being knowledgeable about the law and has the ability to turn around events with his defense. But eventually, he will be more mature and become a rightful lawyer.
Bona got the offer to play as Lee Yeon Joo, lawyer Kang Han Soo's client. She appears to be a commoner that also experienced unjust but she is actually a person with many secrets. She approached Kang Han Soo to have her revenge but she becomes confused about her feelings.
Broadcast date and other details are yet to be revealed.
If Woo Do Hwan confirms his casting, this will be his second upcoming drama. He is set to star in the new Netflix original series "Bloodhounds."
He last starred in the SBS drama "The King: Eternal Monarch" with Lee Min Ho, Kim Go Eun, Kim Kyung Nam, Jung Eun Chae, Lee Jung Jin, and Kim Yong Ji.
Bona on the other hand made her name more known in the acting industry after starring in the 2022 series "Twenty-Five Twenty-One." She acted alongside Kim Tae Ri, Nam Joo Hyuk, Choi Hyun Wook, and Lee Joo Myung. She is also currently appearing on "Queendom 2."
