So far, I have watched three shows - Cdrama Love Crossed, Cmovie Customized Companion and Anti Reset, which deals with AI and human love. From the three, Love Crossed isn't really AI and human love(at least for the main leads). Customized Companion was an illusion kinda AI. Only Anti Reset is about an humanoid AI.
After watching Love Crossed, I always wondered if AI and human love is possible. I am 25 year old girl who has zero dating experience and I am sure that I would die as a single soul because of my ugly appearances and introvert + anti-social personality. Wouldn't it be nice to have someone by our side even though they are not human? I mean, isn't it better to have a robot companion than to die with loneliness? I know AI brings so many risks with it but if AI really can have a high EQ, is it ever possible to have an AI in our life?
Of all the three shows, I loved Love Crossed. Because the main purpose of the AI there was to have a relationship with their users. It also highlighted some of the negative points if ever there is future of AI and human love - decrease in marriages and human-human relationships. In Love Crossed, the AI was just an emotional companion unlike Ever 9 who does every kind of task. But, in today's date, we all are experiencing stress and depression. I would love to have an AI who understands me and be my comfort zone. I am not particularly saying that I want to date an AI, but as a person who has a hard time making friends, I feel like I can open up to an AI more easily. I prefer solitude but sometimes when it feels very lonely or when I am going through a dark phase, I want to have a friend and I believe that person can be an AI.
Also, there are many old aged people without family who need care and attention. Human nurses can only take care of them for certain time, but an AI can be with the person all the time. Imo, spending your lifetime with an AI companion(not exactly as a lover - it could be a friend, sibling or whatever) feels better than being single or being with someone who doesn't understands you or co-operates with you.
