I do believe that the sweet moments at ep 16-18 is necessary to make the love story between MJH and ML more believable. It’s more like a bridge before the heart wrenching separation between those two.

Ok I like ep 22! The first opening with the fight scene was incredible. Again, whoever directed the fight scenes of this drama is commendable. Always well choreographed, realistic and looks dangerous. When she took the opportunity to throw the spear at CP ?; I rewatched that part thrice. Oh WuJinyan!
The last minute plans by Jinghe is good. Glad they showed us a glimpse of shadow master and the extra menacing drawl in his speech that Liu Xueyi adds!

The preview, from my understanding, doesn't move the "misunderstanding" or the "standoff." XiyanGreenTeaPrince is still pretending to be sweet and "oh I'm doing this for her freedom." He's damn sneaky. And Concubine Yan is the worst, still pushing Ah Mei, HER FRIEND, together.

I thought Luomei was faking CP by pretending to be in love, It turns out she really fell in Love with CP. woah what a dud. I wanted General Yin to be decisive but unlike my thoughts she is too weak. She was there to execute him but they grew up together so she definitely has deep affection for both brothers. It was just a make believe scene where she was indulging his last fantasy of marrying her. IMHO it was just a last act of kindness to an old friend who loved her and someone she was at one point reconciled to marrying. Of course she feels sad but I am not sure that she is truly that heartbroken.

Even in the novel LM is beautiful and stoic. And until almost the end Jinghe loved her the way the CP in the drama loved her.

When she loved Jinghe and he was found guilty, she remained on the side of the law but he remained her friend and her true love. After watching the first eps I thought it was strange that this actor got the ml role that seemed to be one of those roles that leaves a lasting impression. but this explains it.

I think she meant that it was inexplicable that Liu Xue Yi (who was always the eternal supporting characterm, 16) would get such a good, interesting role that would definitely catch people's attention (a golden character). So now she says she understood (because she saw that the character is not that wonderful, because it was built in a sloppy way by the scriptwriters. (and that if it really was a much better built character and with more visibility value (she thinks they would have given it to a more famous actor than Liu Xue Yi).
PS: I think that Youku knows the value of Liu Xue Yi (and knew that from a book rejected by almost everyone) and maybe with not so brilliant scriptwriters (only a talented, charismatic and handosome actor, like Liu Xue Yi) would keep the interest (and together with Wi Jin Yian), Youku knew that this drama would be a success. Just like other smaller dramas by Liu Xue Yi (which worked as if they were great dramas), commercially speaking. No super famous actor can do what he’s able to do, because super famous actors get easy planned out characters with a lot of assistance and big marketing budget.
You can look at highly hyped dramas that after the hype you see that it wasn’t that great but, it had too marketing budget.
E.g Princess Agent, kdrama King the land etc…

Actually: 'Princess Agents (was very good), in my opinion, only the ending left us with the impression of a sequel (but since the book was a plagiarism), so... I never forget the opening scene and the final scene of Princess Agents (it's very impactful) and that's why I watched "The Legend of Shen Li" with the same actors.
(As for what you said about Liu Xue Yi and the use of a less famous but charismatic and talented actor to cover the plot holes, I agree with you. (But still, I think that: Kill me love me, looking at it in general (and I think this will be confirmed at the end of the drama), there are more things to appreciate than to be frustrated about. (The overall message is so touching). And they chose the perfect couple for the drama.

Crying for that devil of a CP was so infuriating for me. The writers are also very crazy for giving the CP such a peaceful death after all the atrocities he committed. If the writers don't know what to write they should end it at 22-24 episodes. No need to be draggy with unnecessary storyline

Yes, you have a right to rant. (I do, too.) I never said or implied otherwise. You still have not made it clear what you meant. You thought highly of the character and then capriciously altered your opinion of her because she mourned the loss of somebody who was essentially a childhood friend. Stupidity or intelligence had nothing to do with the emotion she displayed. Furthermore, if you feel insulted, take some time to see just how much you insulted people in your post.
