Episode 24 - Ending

How does everyone feel about it? I’m certain they will reunite in the future.  After everything he gave up and all the choices he made over 9-10 lifetimes to be with her, there is no way he’ll be able to stay wherever he was sent to. I’m certain of it. But the ending didn’t look real and  it looked more like  wishful thinking. Did anyone watch the special? Does it clear up the ending at all?
