Dramacool is shutting down!!!

Oh no, as of November 2024, Dramacool and Kissasian websites will be closed and shut down as announced due to copyright issues!!! ;( This is so sad and heartbreaking!! Where can we watch newer episodes with subtitles now?! Japanese and Taiwanese dramas and movies with English subtitles are rare to find nowadays and can only be found on their website. As a low income wage earner, I have no choice but to find other ways to watch Asian entertainment for free. I am willing to pay for watching legally, since our main goal is access to all English subtitles in the Asian entertainment. But the problem is, even legal streaming sites like Netflix, Disney, etc. has only few, limited dramas and movies available in their sites, and older dramas can't be found or no English subtitles. Whereas Dramacool has gathered all the Asian dramas and movies, both past and present, all in one place, plus its free. I am so devastated right now! Hopefully, there will be a miracle that a website like them would exist again and upload the same old titles as well as upload new ones. :( Kindly DM me for website alternatives. Thanks~

Thanks for sharing, good thing the older dramas are still there, but they already stopped uploading new episodes since November 2024, hopefully there are still other websites we can watch with new episodes and English subtitles especially the rare Japanese and Taiwanese titles~

I use this site every day without a problem since ages, and I never got malicious code. Don't use Avast, use McAfee! And use AdBlock Plus also!

Not at all! I use Kissasiantv.cx every day. You should add and Adblocker, but still there'll be ads.

maybe  website is not completely shut down. Such websites are sometimes restricted under copyright laws. When one domain is blocked or taken down, they often continue their services under a new domain.

and its depend on the region also some domain show shutdown in some region and active in other  region. to avoid copyright or gain more bitcoin/points .  They shut down domains from regions that do not generate significant benefits for them.

the owner of those websites posted that they completely shut down all of their websites, not regional thingy

This is going to be interesting. I just checked out the new URL and it has some strongly worded language regarding copyrighted materials and the DMCA. They say that the site only provides links to other websites, and that Dramacool does not host or upload files. It would seem that they contacted some IP  lawyers who drafted the material. Whether this keeps them up and running, time will tell.

What I did note is that not all of the programmes have been updated. For example, Love your enemy still only has the first two episodes. I suspect that things will be a hit and miss for a while, and perhaps some programmes will never feature there.
