Revenge theme

I just think it;s interesting how asian movies or dramas deal with the theme of revenge as oposed to their western counterparts. In the west, revenge is often gained, and the hero and heroine ride off into the sunset together, so to speak. 

In the east, revenge may be gained, but often at a higher cost, than what the revenge was saught for.
