Taiwanese "You're Beautiful"

it says TBA so it's not something that has aired already. unfortunately there doesnt seem to be anythign about it on the drama news sites so i wouldnt get excited just yet. even if we do get another incarnation it's just as likely to have a different actor.

But wouldn't it be great if there was a taiwanese version as well? So we'd have the whole set. XD

I also watched You're Beautiful first and then Ikemen Desu Ne a few weeks ago and fell in love with that one too. I really liked the main leads in the J version - but really disliked Shu. Same with Shin Woo in the K version. Dunno why, but I really don't like guys that are nice all the time - I never know what goes on in their heads. I much prefer guys that are like Tae Kyung who tell people what's on their minds in a blunt way (even if it is an insult). At least I know exactly where I stand with them. XD Anyway, I wouldn't mind seeing Mike He as Tae Kyung (I mean, he played a good tsundere in Devil Beside You). I don't know that much "modern" taiwanese actors since I also haven't watched that many dramas. I think the role of Shin Woo could be played by Danson Tang or Calvin Chen, but I'm not too sure. It would be funny if Ella got the main female role - I like her acting (especially in Down With Love, but not so much in Hana Kimi), because she's got experience in acting in a gender bender drama (Hana Kimi).

Jiro for Jeremy would be great...he can sing...he is adorable and I can imagine that. Plus he knows how to play one sided love kinda well.

Though I don't want it to turn into a Fahrenheit thing...so only cast one of the boys then look elsewhere.

Whoever plays Tae Kyung needs to be charismatic. Though there was loads wrong with the drama (like the fact I didn't buy their love in anyway), Jang Geun Suk was a kinda great to watch (even if Tae Kyung was a bit of a jerk)

I wouldn't recommend Ella because whoever is Go Min Nam needs to be effeminate, fragile, and down right pitiful (pathetic if you will). Nun= innocent.

Ella just isn't fragile and innocent. She's more bumbling, straight talking and yet awkward.
Sure she can do 'girl dressed as guy' because of her tomboy looks. But You're beautiful isn't simply girl dressed as guy...it is 'girl desperately trying to not found out to be a girl'. Kinda more fish out of water than Hana Kimi because Go Min Nam really is without a plan half the time.

Anyway I reaally hope it is true this drama is gonna be made because I'd love to see a Taiwanese version. :)

Hmm, how about Ivy Chen (from Skip Beat!) then? Or Cyndi Wang? I like how she portraits her cute character, but I want to see her grow more as an actress - I want to see her act something other than just cute.

i have SERIOUS reservations about watching anything with ivy chen in it after i forced myself through half of skip beat. granted the drama itself had many systemic problems but a good actress could have still turned in a great performance (see gong yoo in Big). watching Ivy moo and blink and whine and make faces that really defy description has been on of the most painful drama experiences i've had so far.

haha, Wu Chun would also make a great Shu/Shin Woo - what with his stiff acting (the other two actors also acted stiff in my opinion).
