OK, I also watched today's first two episodes of "Eccentric Romance", which marks my third Thai-Korean collaboration of this year.
The first was "Love Is Like A Cat", which is my top nomination for "Worst BL of 2024" for a number of reasons, including but not limited to the incredibly sloppy, lazy, lame way in which they handled the language issue. Even for me with my low standards positive outlook, getting through the series was a struggle.
The second was "Close Friend S3: Soju Bomb", which was only tangentially BL and also misleadingly named in that it had zero connection with S1 and S2, but it was actually a pretty cute comedy which I really enjoyed. The language issue was handled reasonably well, and at least the Thai actors (cuties!) made the effort to learn some Korean.
So far, I rather like "Eccentric Romance". It's not great art, but it's cute 'n fluffy. As to the language issue, it suffers a bit from the laziness of "Cat" in terms of rationalising how other characters perfectly understand Save Saisawat speaking Thai, while he perfectly understands everyone else speaking Korean - but so far, it's not nearly as glaringly lame as "Cat", and at least Save attempts "hello" and such in Korean, which is more than Mew Suppasit in "Cat" (i.e. absolutely zero attempt to learn anything in Korean).
Anyways, aside from the language issue, I like it so far. But then again, my standards are famously low where cuties are involved, and Save (left in photo) is nothing if not a cutie.
