Because of my bad habit of impulsively starting new series even as I'm still juggling countless others, I started today on "Love Sick 2024" - and so far, it's quite good as school BLs go. I've not seen the original series, but the consensus seems to be that the remake is substantially better - although I might yet watch the original for historical interest, in particular to see White, August, Ngern and Pineare in early roles. It might also be a uniquely interesting comparison because New Siwaj was involved in both (editor for the original, director for the remake).

I have seen Love Sick (2014) S1, S2 and ReminderS, plus re-watched a cut version of S1 and S2 which cut the stories of Taengmo and Jeed. Since I wasn't into Jeed and Taengmo's stories, I enjoyed the cut version re-watch. 

Watching LoveSick 2024 as it's airing, my first impression is that it's giving the same vibes as the original. They've also made an effort in casting actors who look similar as the original cast. This is esp. true for Progress cast as Noh. IMO, both Almond and Progress have risen up to the challenge of tackling a remake of a much-beloved and iconic show. Their acting and chemistry have been great throughout. I'm even more impressed when I realized that Progress is 15 and Almond is 17. I can't wait to see them grow even more as artists.
